  1. Poor De'Ron. If he could jump more than 2 inches, he'd probably have a half-dozen more rebounds by now.
  2. Wasted possession with no shot on one end. Leave a shooter wide open in the corner on the other end. He hits a 3. Yep, that's us.
  3. I'd like to see a replay. I'm not sure DD fouled him there.
  4. I just cannot comprehend how Justin can miss so many shots! It's befudding. And that was a good look.
  5. These guys just don't have a nose or a knack for finding the ball. An OSU guy misses a 3. We have three guys around Wesson, yet he somehow comes up with the rebound. Go get the damn ball!
  6. That probably was the worst thing that could happen for Devonte. Now, he'll think an open 45-footer is his shot!
  7. OSU misses a 3. De'Ron has great position for a board. The ball bounces off his hands and out of bounds. Good grief.
  8. OSU guy misses a shot. We have three guys under the hoop -- and no one from OSU. The ball hits one of our guys on the hands and goes out of bounds. ... This is gonna get out of hand real soon. ... I can easily see a 25-point loss.
  9. Can Joey dunk? I'm sorta being serious here ... After getting that pass from Justin, that's an easy slam. Well, for anybody else who's 6-11.
  10. Sorry, Robbie. Justin is not a pro. He is a great athlete, but he has very limited basketball skills. Would be a great track athlete or maybe a football player, but the understanding of the game of basketball and the skills just aren't there. ... What good is having a 48-inch vertical when you can't make a layup?
  11. A simple pass would've gotten the ball to him. ... You didn't have to try the 25-foot one-handed bounce pass! ... Jeezus -- he just never learns.
  12. Not trying to pile on -- really I'm not -- but has anybody in the past 20 years of IU basketball missed more easy shots than Justin? How did that last fast-break layup not fall?
  13. Yep. Jason Benetti. I'm like you -- a Cubs fan and don't care for the Sox -- but I have a lot of admiration for him. He has cerebral palsy, but hasn't let that limit him. I think he does a pretty good job.
  14. She's played in six games this season. For some reason, I thought it was more. ... Does that mean she can get this season back? Or half of it? Maybe if she transfers now, she'll have a 1 1/2 years of eligibility remaining? ... Not sure of the exact rules, but if she won't have more than a year remaining, what's the point in announcing this now?
  15. Odd timing -- there's still much of the season to be played. Has she left the team? She played 14 minutes at Maryland, but hasn't played since. For the season, she'd been playing 12.5 minutes a game. Did Moren & Co. decide to shut her down the rest of the way? Again, the timing seems strange. Wonder why she didn't wait till the end of the season to announce this?
  16. Niners are saying Tevin is good to go for Sunday. How effective will he be? Who knows?
  17. Don't know if a replay is available, but here is a highlights package. I didn't see the game, either -- didn't realize we were down 18-2. That's a helluva comeback. Shouldn't have gotten that far down in the first place, but that's impressive nonetheless.
  18. Not watching the game -- don't have BTN+ -- but just checked the score: How in the hell are we in OT with a 10-10 squad? This team needs to decide if it wants to be elite or not? If you want to be elite, you need to be beating times like Wisconsin by 15-20 points. And not losing in OT to Iowa and Northwestern.
  19. Like many others, I'm not feeling too good about this after Wednesday's debacle. I don't think we get a win, but the question is this: Do we go down fighting, or do we quit like we did at Maryland and PSU? I'm stuck in the middle. OSU 73 IU 66
  20. I just cannot figure out what the hell happened with Damezi. I saw a couple of his school games (not in person, but on a video stream) and while I didn't think he'd be a superstar, I thought he could contribute. And as this video shows (granted, it's set up to accentuate the positive), he at one time could shoot the ball. I saw him tonight take a 3 from the just beyond the top of the key -- it wasn't wide-open, but he wasn't necessarily under heavy duress -- and he totally clanked it. Didn't even hit the rim. You almost have to try to do that. How can you shoot a head-on 3 pointer and not hit the rim? I just don't get it. Earlier this season, he knocked down a couple 3s and it gave me hope that he had found his stroke. But since then, to quote the ultra-obnoxious Dickie V: "It's been Brick City, baybee!" ... I don't think at this point, he could make a 2-footer standing all alone under the basket. I am totally perplexed.
  21. This is starting to remind me of the game at Maryland -- we've just given up. Pretty shameful performance.
  22. Oh Damezi -- you damn near broke the backboard on that one.
