I'm actually a member of a couple FB pages on which I don't participate much. The posts there would make some of those here seem like saints. One of the things that really bugs me is Rob's dad is a member there, and I've seen people post really crappy things about his son. ... I cannot imagine how that 1) makes him feel; 2) reflects on the fan base. ... If I had a child and they played a sport and got destroyed on social media every other game, I don't think I'd take it very well. As far as here, some days I just laugh and some days, I just have a facepalm. I'm getting frustrated like everyone else, and I get negative during games, but other than that -- I try to look forward as much as possible. And that ain't easy -- there are some here who post a dozen times a day that Archie sucks. OK, we get it. I'm still waiting for some to blame the pandemic on Archie!

Fred's a lawyer, so I presume he knew what he was doing and knows the legality of contracts and such. But I wonder if PU were to fire Versyp and come after Moren (after all, where else would they go for a coach?) if parties might be able to say that her $10 million buyout clause is unenforceable because it would be considered grossly unfair ... or something along those lines. I have no idea, I'm not a lawyer -- and as I mentioned, Fred is, so I'm guessing he would know if that clause would stand up in court. But given that Moren has been pretty successful so far, is a PU grad and the PUs have poached from us before ...

I'm sorta perplexed by this whole "We need an IU guy" argument -- on twitter, here and everywhere else. "Some one who knows the History and Know how of what IU Basketball was made of." What the hell does that even mean? First of all, there are no "IU guys" who are capable of taking over the program. Alford? No. Woodson? No. Wittman? No. Smart? Meh. Isiah? Please. I could see taking a flyer on Fife -- maybe -- but that's it. Hey, Pat Knight's an IU guy -- should we hire him? I guarantee you that Sampson, Crean, Miller -- they're very well aware of the history of IU basketball. They just didn't work or are not working out. One because of cheating (though it's not cheating any longer), one because he was very weird and mediocre and the third because so far, he's been very mediocre. Knight wasn't even an "IU guy" when he came to B-town. Cal isn't a "Kentucky guy." K isn't a "Duke guy." Few isn't a "Gonzaga guy." Wright isn't a "Villanova guy." ... You get the picture. This notion is preposterous, and needs to be put to rest once and for all. We don't need an "IU guy." We need the "right guy."

Archie and the boys are such teases ... Get a big win every now and then, just to whet your appetite and get you to thinking this team might not be that bad. Then we take a big step backward. Or two. I don't mind losing to OSU. In fact, that doesn't surprise me at all. But not the way we did. Today was just as case of SSDD. We suck at the most two common shots in basketball -- free throws and layups. Kinda getting tired of it.

Forget FTs. These guys need layup practice.

This isn't really a clip of one specific moment, but since there are very minimal crowds this year, there have been no FLAGS at the 8-minute, second-half timeout. ... Hopefully by next season, this can become part of the AH experience again.

I don't know why, but the dude pacing behind Archie and eating gummy bears for the first minute and a half cracks me up. Considering what a joke this evening's game was, it just seemed fitting.

Al and Armaan were 18-20 from the line. The rest of the lads? 9-18.

I'm just glad that game was moved to 5:30 p.m. I cannot imagine having to watch that nonsense till nearly midnight.
