I hate to throw out a tired, old cliche -- but that's not gonna stop me: Archie has lost this team (if he ever even had it). I saw a handful of times tonight when he pulled players, he was chewing them out -- and they were giving it right back. Even Leal. That's not good.

For some reason a bunch of 2013 games have popped up on my YouTube feed recently. It's kinda bittersweet, though -- it's fun to watch winning, competent basketball, but sad to see that we had such a great team and couldn't even get past the Sweet 16 because our coach couldn't figure out how to beat a zone.

For all those insisting we hire an "IU guy," he is a former assistant. Was on Knight's staff in the '70s.

I was gonna suggest that if anybody wants to watch some classic IU hoops, ESPNU is showing us against Iowa from 1983. But we lost that one. Bad night all the way around.

I really, really, really, really wish people would stop mentioning Steve Alford -- unless we're lauding what he did as a player. Wanna fire Archie, fire him. But stop mentioning Alford as a potential replacement. If he didn't play at IU, he wouldn't be within 1,000 miles of our radar for what he's accomplished as a coach. He has a very unremarkable record as a coach -- and he intimidated a sexual assault victim. That alone should disqualify him in any decent person's mind.

We miss him, but I'm not sure I'd call Brunk the best player in the league.

So on a night where there's a foul every 15 seconds, Franklin isn't fouled on that rebound?
