I live in SE Virginia. A couple years back, ODU was at either Texas-San Antonio or Texas-El Paso. There were 6 seconds left and the Texas school had the ball. After it was inbounded, the clock started late and after about 8-9 actual seconds, UTEP or UTSA took a shot and was fouled. The ODU staff went nuts -- rightly so -- and after reviewing the tape and realizing the shot came well after 6 seconds had expired, the refs said that's it, game over. Very bizarre ending.

Marty Schottenheimer passed yesterday. I'm a Bears fan, so didn't have a rooting interest in the Browns, Chiefs, Chargers or Redskins. But I always admired Marty -- so as long as his teams weren't playing the Bears, I cheered for them. Dan Snyder has made too many poor decisions to count, but I think one of his worst was firing Marty after one season because he became infatuated with Steve Spurrier. Alzheimer's sucks.

I remember this when it was happened. I was sitting in my apartment on campus and my roommate and I were watching and having a couple beers. I remember being torn, because part of me thought it was a pretty cheap shot from Jadlow, but another part of me thought it was kinda humorous.
