**** you, Purdue! Maybe you should spend less time worrying about our coach and more time worrying about winning a game in the tournament. 5>0! -

I hope you are not paying their tuition. I told both of my kids that they can go to any university named Indiana University, otherwise, they can enjoy early adulthood with a load of student debt. -

Let me throw this hypothetical at you guys. The "Private team meeting" is happening at 3:00 and Romeo is the player that is spreading info, or he is spreading it to some of his former teammates. I am not saying that I trust that Brianna got good info, but that would put some of the pieces together, including Dolson's denial that INDIANA would be announcing anything. -

I think we are ignoring an obvious explanation. IU isn't announcing Brad Stevens is the new coach today, Boston is announcing that Brad Stevens is stepping down. -

This is correct. The only reason the NBA can prevent a coach from taking another job is because of the anti-trust exemptions that were granted to them by congress. Those exemptions do not extend to the NCAA, so the Celtics do not have the power to prevent him from being the next coach for the Hoosiers. -

I don't think Mark Cuban would be allowed to contribute the money to IU if Dolson mentioned Brad Stevens. It seems like this would be a conflict of interest and possibly collusion to remove a rival coach from the league when you own a competing team. So either Mark didn't pony up the cash, or Dolson never told him who he is targeting. -

I don't think it would be legal for the Celtics to include a clause in Brad's contract preventing him from coaching in college, because the NCAA does not have an anti-trust exemption. The only reason it is legal within the NBA is because of that exclusion. I believe it would be legal to include language that had penalties for terminating his contract early, but I think they would have a hard time outright blocking him from going to coach at Indiana.
