I don't think that Woody will step down. That would require a level of self-awareness that I don't think he is capable of. He is too damn stubborn to admit his failures. He can't even take criticism from the fans that are telling him that his NHL-style substitution patterns are insane. He is unwilling to change, will not listen, and almost always blames everyone but himself for the team's failures. This does not seem like the kind of person that is suddenly going to have an epiphany that he shouldn't be coaching at IU, because in his mind he is a great coach and we are all a bunch of fools that don't know the first thing about basketball.

But that strategy flies in the face of always starting the same people and doing wholesale NHL-style line changes, so there is little hope this will ever happen.

I would legitimately like to know how much coaching CMW actually does. Didn't we find out last year that the assistant coaches take turns doing the scouting and developing the game plan? If that is the case, do the assistant coaches also determine the substitution patterns or does CMW make all of the in-game decisions. I think it would be interesting to know what the actual division of labor looks like.
