You couldn't have said that any better! We will turn tail on a potential, sought after recruit/player at the blink of an eye. I look at it like this. You broke up with me, I'm done with you! lol
-
...just look at the tremendous growth Victor had from his first year to the next. He was an athletic bench player. It's hard to believe that Vic's freshman year, he played in 32 games, only starting in 5.

call me out if you want....I could care less. This exactly what I posted earlier. X is and elite level PG and if he is granted another year at IU, we will be in decent shape. I specifically added "level" behind elite because IMO, he has the ability and has shown flashes to be elite. My intention was to put him in a class close to elite and better that average. I also added elite level because of his defense too.

I respectfully disagree.... I know this is basketball we are talking about. I would love knocking it out of the park! Maybe we do, maybe we don't. In the end, I want to win the game. It's strategy. It's also about what's going to fit and make you and your team better. I'm ok with that double! Lay a sac bunt down, hit the player in or move him in scoring position. Play smart, keep the inning going and make them have to change pitchers over and over. I think Coach Woodson has done a great job for only coaching in his second year in NCAA ever. Yes, he may have just turned 65 last month, but he as done a hell of a lot more that any other recent IU coaches have in their first 2 years, since Mike Davis (inherited Coach Knight's solid roster). *** I purposely left out Coach Sampson, though successful his first 2 years as well, he put a stain on IU with his recruiting infractions.

@AssemblyCall · 1m Replying to @AssemblyCall The lesson? Even at "blue blood" programs with lots of recent success, turnarounds aren't necessarily immediate. It can take a few cycles to rebuild the culture and get roster fit right. Woody's already off to a better start rebuilding IU. Now just have to keep moving forward.

Why does he have to knock it out of the park? If he does, then that's incredible. Just because we aren't getting immediate results through the portal (3 weeks after the season ended) people are beginning to panic. SMH

....Here, Here! Finally....OMG. Yes, X is and elite level PG and if he is granted another year at IU, we will be in decent shape. Another thing, I don't think people are giving Cupp's potential, much attention either. I'm not saying he is going to walk in an start, but he is someone who will definitely surprise many people. I mean,....how many of us thought 1st TEAM ALL BIGTEN freshman, Braeden Smith would have done what he did for Purdue? I know they have different gifts, but man....I'm super excited about incoming freshmen Cupps and Newton.

.....and potentially destroy the culture Coach Woodson is building right now. I want Love's talent and potential just like everyone else,....but not for this price, $$$$$ + free reign = disaster. He can want all day long, but at some point, like his dad said....he wants to be coached. Well, he also wants free reign on the court, but to be successful he has to be coachable and think no longer as a me, but as a we. I hope I am wrong about the ebb and flow of Love's recruitment. First and foremost, I want good players that want to play for Coach Woodson and Indiana University. Them money is just a bonus. Unfortunately,....this is the world we live in today.

...believe it or not, I am going to place a second eye roll here too...... I can't even respond to this....
-
eye roll.....

The way this NIL thing is developing,....I can totally see it coming to this. College team, NIL boosters competing with NBA 1st round player $$$$$. Why not?
-
He’s gettin that look that some really old people get when their eye look red and watery…lol
-
gee whizzzzz!
-
just curious.... Do we know what his asking price is? I mean, I love the kid, he just didn't work out here at IU, but man..... You've got to have some "meat on the bones", something solid to claim you worth to be asking for high dollars. Am I wrong?

THIS ^^^^^^

Curbelo moving on from St. Johns, he's in the portal. I would love to have heard what Slick Rick had to say about him and then, his response...lol
-
....dude just wants to be a Hoosier for life! I love it. I have not problem with his role and I believe he doesn't either. Of course he would love more minutes, but he wants to do what is best for this ball team. I guarantee he's a major factor on the scout team before games. He's coach's type of player and also the ULTIMATE team player!
-
...not trying to knock Ball St. or others of the like, but it's similar to going the JUCO route until a big school notices you. JMO
-
You mean we have to wait that long!!!! Lol
-
That's the way it probably is meant to be, but I'm gonna read it as "Things are looking good here, AT IU for JHS. lol
-
....wonder what this could mean? VVVV Assembly Call ( @AssemblyCall · 12m Things still looking good for Jalen here.
-
I wonder what number is going to be on his jersey next year? #5 is currently spoken for......
-
I guess, if you look at it that way,....... I'll listen. Could end up a great story.
