.....again, any new portal player interests other than Tre White from USC? lol I feel Coach Woodson and Co. are working in stealth mode now. I get the feeling if we pick up or land someone, it will be somewhat of a surprise (to the fan base).

...Too funny! One of our pitchers from our travel softball team signed with them a handful of years ago. I had never heard of them until then.

That makes a lot of sense..... One of my students, a point guard for our HS told me Wednesday that he would be missing school on Friday (today) and was also missing a few days next week too. I said, "Wow, what's going on? and he said, his AAU team is going to Phoenix, AZ for a tournament." I believe it's the Under Armor Circuit.

I just find it little strange that things are so quiet in regards to the coaching staff's interests, etc. I'm sure the name of the game is to be stealthy about it. JMO

At this time and hoping or anticipating for what they want before the portal deadline.... Also, I wouldn't want IU to pick up someone that they really didn't have a big interest in from the beginning. I just feel that's settling and I don't think Woody wants any part of that.

Not accusing or blaming here, just merely thinking out loud.....Would some or a few of these "wider nets" being cast and portal successes be a result of some "behind the scenes" cheating? Again, I'm just curious and am not pointing a finger at anyone specific. However, it does happen and has been going on, from what others have said during this new NIL/Portal recruiting era. Someone posted either this board or HSN something to the extent, "If you can't beat them, join them!" They were basically saying, "If they are cheating and getting good results, why not do the same?" I don't want anything to do with that type of mentality and I know Woodson and Co. feel the same way. I guess my wish and hope for this staff is to continue work harder that anyone else, but continue to do it honestly and honorably.

March 17th 2000. I remember that game....uggghh. As far as these players being alive then,.....I believe they most likely looked like little squigglys..... lol!

This statement, Exactly!.....We all want that shiny new penny and what others are getting, but there're no guarantees with any player. We just have to keep shopping and get better at it. I will say this again, don't overlook or discount Cupps and Newton next year.
