You have to woo potential recruits with all the wonderful food options for various times of the day! Always have to sell, sell, sell and seal the deal!

Jeff Newton was very good, but I always thought he was a bit sluggish at times and lacked explosiveness. JMO -
3 years ago my wife and I stayed at the Graduate on Friday before a Saturday home game. We went downstairs for breakfast in the Poindexter Cafe and half the team was down there getting coffee and breakfast. It was so cool. The IU team bus was parked out next to the hotel. I was so curious, I went up to the “Jack and Diane” floor (fancy suites) and roamed around. There was a huge conference room where the team obviously just ate breakfast and had pre game discussions. There was still a basketball sitting on the floor and tables and chairs were all pushed back in one area.

I will have to give it a shot. My oldest daughter swears by the Runcible Spoon for breakfast.

Not all those awards. I said possibly, but my possibly was intended his potential to fill a much needed position left by Trayce. I know I’m putting the cart before the horse, but he and his gifted abilities are going to be huge for any D-1 school. JMO -
Man, I’m one week too late! My wife and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary last weekend in Bloomington! Our daughters got us a night at the Graduate on Kirkwood last Saturday night. My wife and would have gladly been super snoopers for Hoosier Nation! We’ve stayed there about 3 times now, wonderful experience. If you ever get a chance, I would highly recommend it! To top it off, IMO, the best breakfast in Bloomington is at the Uptown on Kirkwood, hands down!

….I agree, and I get what you are saying. I don’t know if there will ever be another guy, that plays TJD’s position at IU, to come in and break his records. However, ware could possibly come in as a sophomore and compete and play at the level of TJD did last year. I was just stating that some more muscle on his thin body would be very beneficial. -

If we are so blessed to get Ware, there should be no reason he shouldn’t be able to challenge the laurels of TJD. First thing, get him to the weight room. -
From the words of Cuba Gooding Jr. in the movie “Radio”, …… “Dat wuz uh good one Coach!”…lol Man, I love that movie!

totally agree! It reminds me of watching Shark Tank and hearing them say they've applied for a patent or patent pending....

...Come ON C! lol........Everyone knows you're a Tennessee fan too,....that's all good, but this is IU we're talking about here!! lol I mean, (IMHO) IU is THE ONLY university that matters here..... Selfishly, I don't want anyone to step between those coveted players and IU. ***(edit- I strategically added a few lol's here and there so I wouldn't appear mad at you!)...lol

I knew you would respond!.... Don't mind the orange shag carpet right? lol

...well IU is definitely a "bike" school too! Looks good for IU...LOL -
....the thing about all this portal recruiting is we just don't know how much time is spent communicating through texts, phone calls, zoom meetings and building relationships with these individuals. That makes a huge impression and means a lot to the players. It certainly helps make their decision much easier when it comes time. Like you said, "sometimes you just know".

It could be a beautiful thing...... I would love for TJD and JHS to be a big part if these visits, if they haven't been already! -
