It has been established from the beginning that Keion’s dad had the biggest impact on him choosing UK over IU. Keion Brooks Sr. had his son thinking OAD and money first. IMHO, if Keion would have listened to his heart and just the love of the game, he would have picked IU. It was quit obvious, immediately after his announcement,....the first two sentence out of his mouth said it all. He said..... "Coach Cal (John Calipari), it just comes down to him. He has been able to, you know, what he has been able to do is what I want to do: Be a one-and-done and make millions of dollars playing the game of basketball. Who wouldn’t want to do that, playing the game that I love and making money for it?” Brooks told Rivals.com. Maybe a player like Keion would be better off under a NBA coach like Coach Woodson, who’s known for helping develop top players in the league. Looking back, ....not sure how much Archie would have been able to help Keion get to the next level.

I just got so reading this article... Wow, what an impressive list of accomplished and extremely valuable assistant coaches! It’s a shame CMW only has 2 working , bench slots available. Coach has big decisions all around, especially the right guys to compliment him. I’m stating the obvious here, but just a few “must have” qualities you know he’s looking for in assistants. He needs coaches who are consistently able to connect with players on all levels, including finding/landing and developing players who rarely see the bench. Those same coaches need to have major recruiting ties to the various hotbeds across this great country. Finally, these assistants should be able to compliment CMW with their offensive and defensive play calling skill. I’m super excited about these upcoming additions, whoever they are!

If not careful, some of these guys might get left out if a better option comes along.....That is where the deadline needs to be taken very seriously. Coach Woodson has done his part. He is ready to build this monster his way. Now it's up to each indecisive player.

No offense Trish, but the only people Coach Woodson needs to “win over” are young men who he sees a future with on his team and at this Great University! Fans come second....

I am really surprised that we have not started seeing or hearing more from players now that Woodson has been hired. I realize they need time to think, talk to parents etc. Maybe when assistant coaches start to be hired, that will tell a lot.

Yep, you could tell his nervousness in the presser....he said “ Indiana U basketball”twice. He corrected himself once....

I picked up on that right away......He said he will go back and watch a little film of these players. In his eyes, some kids may not be able to cut it.

Anyone hearing how the meeting with Coach Woodson and the players went last night?

I’m starting to get giddy about this hire folks... One quick observation, Coach’s gonna have to trade those Nike shoes for some new adidas!!!...lol
