Can we please start a bring Bruce Pearl to IU thread. The more I thought about this over the weekend the more I would love nothing more than to put all the cards on the table and go out and get this guy. I do believe it would be realistic unlike some of the other options out there.

The guy can recruit, he can coach, he can win, he has charisma... sounds perfect to me

They also just had bigger stronger players and that comes from recruiting 4* and 5* athletes. Tenn has plenty of those. It's always going to be a disadvantage on the lines  until the recruiting continues to improve. CTA has done a good job of recruting so far so no complaints on that end but Tenn just seemed to have really good athletes. Credit to their coaches as well.

If that is the class we end up with, Archie will not be here in 2021. Feel pretty confident in that at this point. 

I'd rather have the Butler coach if you go mid major. I love the way they play and he recruits well too.
If you are bringing up Kelvin, why not look at Bruce Pearl. Wins everywhere he goes and recruits lots of 4* and 5* talent. Also, don't think he finishes his career at Auburn.

I’d be all aboard the Bruce Pearl train. He would absolutely kill it on the recruiting trail here. Hear he throws one hell of a BBQ as well.

Yep this again feels like rock bottom. We've been there too many times in recent years.

Urkel is killing us ... 

The 2018 class is turning into the (Bowel) Movement 2.0. Going into this game the four remaining players (including Thompson) have scored a total of 207 points this season. I don't care if there have been injuries, not a single one is scoring more than 8 ppg. 
I was very high on Archie when he was hired and really liked what I saw from him in year one with regards to ball movement, emphasizing defense, and off-ball screens for shooters. The offensive sets have not only not improved, but have clearly regressed, and he has failed to bring in any semblance of a quality shooter.
He'll get through this year in all likelihood since Glass is retiring in May and a new AD isn't (likely) going to fire a coach in late spring/early summer. However, given how weak Archie's foundational class is turning into, there isn't going to be much to work with next year. Guy better bring in some quality transfers at guard/the wing who can contribute immediately or he will definitely be shown the door after next season. Not only is this abysmal basketball, but the program has zero flavor as well right now. 

They will correct you that he hasn’t had any losing seasons

Don't some folks think he has to be given five losing seasons before we can fire him?

I just can't believe we don't have a better roster than this in Archie's third season. There's so much dead wood on this team it's not even funny. 

Last 30 seconds sums up this team. Lol. what a joke.
