  1. lol saw something that will wade may go back to LSU. That would be hilarious
  2. Jordan Scott starts for msu and consistently takes the best perimeter player on the other team. Can ward off the bench. Omer Mayer and Jack benter both play for Purdue. They played cj cox last year and this year. Even Iowa played Tate sage over 10 mins a game the last two games. Didn’t realize cooper Koch was a redshirt freshman but he starts for them.I’m not saying they have to be starters but you can rely on them as bench pieces. Obviously it takes the right scouting and player but hopefully that’s where Carr comes in
  3. I couldn’t agree more! If you look at all of the teams left, other than St. John’s and Texas, they all have freshman playing key roles on their teams. I honestly think freshman have become undervalued with the transfer portal and I have no issue relying on one
  4. Lol if they get dusty I will be extra annoyed
  5. Ya BYU did that this year and all it took was one injury and they looked terrible after. I honestly don’t mind what we did last year in terms of money. We just spent it on terrible players. Get 2 studs and then 6 other people that you can reliably count on
  6. I remember last year you were probably first on the Lamar bandwagon, even before it had come out that we were going after him. Any Lamars for this year?
  7. He’s also super skinny and probably needs to put on 30 pounds lol. Very toolsy with a ton of potential though
  8. Lol we were actually number 7 in the country overall in 2 point field goal percentage. I fully agree there are tweaks that need to be done. We played at snails pace even though we struggled to score against half court defenses at the end of the year. We definitely should’ve dumped it into Alexis whenever we got stagnant because he was way better than I expected. If i can see things that need to be changed then Im sure the staff does also. But it’s also really hard to win anything when none of the perimeters players in your rotation can do anything off the dribble. I assume that’s what conerway was for but obviously he fell out of the rotation. Teams just started switching everything on us and we couldn’t punish them for it
  9. Whoa he moves way better than you’d expect from a guy his size. You need three bigs in the big 10 as shown by this year and this guy being one of them would be really interesting. Only a sophomore also so hopefully some room for growth
  10. Watching even the first 4 games i was struck how legitimately untalented our roster last year was. Texas and NC st had multiple guys on the court that could get their own shot at any time. We were pretty good in what appears to be the best conference in the country. Obviously talent acquisition is probably the most important part of the job but hopefully that is rectified this offseason and we can see what Devries can do with a team that has the talent to match the rest of the big 10
  11. More talented than this year but neither of them are primary ball handlers. I want a really good PG after what we saw this year. Also would love Coleman and would be fine relying on him since most recruits in his range are able to produce right away
  12. Interested to see if we go the NBA roster building route of two stars and then a bunch of really good role players with Carr at the helm. Obviously there’s no salary cap in college so if you want three stars by all means but our lack of depth this year was glaring
  13. Another guy i think we should look at is Kevin overton. Honestly I’m very confused why we didn’t go harder after him considering he played for Devries at Drake. We probably make the tourney with him. He took another step this year with a bigger role and he didn’t commit to play for Stephen pearl
  14. For being as terrible as they were last year Notre Dame has some interesting players. Everyone knows Haralson but Brady Koehler is super intriguing as well. 6’10 freshman from Cathedral that shot 38% from 3 but also seems to have a lot of rim protecting potential. Wonder if he’ll enter the portal but feels like the type of big man that would thrive in our system
  15. I’m honestly impressed that we managed to miss on basically every portal person this year except Lamar. I’ll give Alexis half a win but he shouldn’t have been a starter
