Yeah man, it's a pretty freakin' sh!tty situation if you ask me. Bending over the one true fan that has been on this wagon from the start is like cutting off your nose to spite your face. It won't just so long as Cig is still calling the shots. We need to get used to this and fully understand what kind of product we're going to get every year.

I'm just gonna say this to play devil's advocate. Some of us don't really invest too much into basketball tickets but care immensely about football pump our cash into it. And have been for decades. These folks seem to be getting the shaft by fair-weather fans (I'm calling it what it is about these fans. Those who know, know.). And I take issue with it, even if I don't have a dog in the fight. If this is even true, but someone that has had season tickets for 30 years getting booted is just wrong. If we start seeing the opposing teams colors in these seats then there's even a bigger problem. Now taking off the devil's advocate cap. Hopefully IU will be a football first school. And if that occurs, we'll have to deal with the basketball points build up folk wanting a coach fired after one series of downs. Hide and watch. Having said all of that, I am extremely thankful we are having these kinds of issues. It means IUFB is WINNING!!!! Get on this wagon, there's plenty of room.

Top 100 LB out of Crown Point, IN 247 Rivals On3 Also being discussed to play LB as well. Sounds like the coaching staff aren't 100% sure what position best fits for him? Or maybe he'll concentrate on one position and be brought in on certain packages? I'm assuming the staff already knows what position will be his focus.

PWO - four year starter that played in 3 of IUFB's 11 total bowl games. Aside from last year, his Jr and Sr year was probably the most fundamental football teams I ever watched. Some pretty solid years from 86 to 93.

Same team, except my watching IU football started in the 80s. Aside from the Joe Huff days, last year's team was the most fundamental football team I've seen wear the Cream and Crimson. And we're basically getting the same coaching staff from last year that will be coaching upgraded players. This year we'll probably get a lot more closer games. There's 4 (Illini, at Iowa, at PSU, at Ducks) games on the schedule that will be dawg fights. And the cat's out of the bag, there's no chance a school is ever going to overlook IUFB anymore. We'll be in some battles this season for sure.

I've been trying to say to anyone that will listen to my sorry arse, on paper, IUFB upgraded its 2025 roster compared to an 11-2 2024 CFP roster and last season was not a fluke. Coaching matters. I'm tired of hearing from all the skeptical folk (fans included) in my neck of the woods. The whole "they didn't play anybody" message is stale and gets old. I get it, being the door mat for pretty much the entire existence of the program is ingrained in the these folk's DNA. But man, if these folks actually watched football they'd understand the door mat days are no longer a thing in Bloomington (Just so long as Coach Cig is still here). I'm tired of explaining to these folk that IUFB curb stomped 9 out of 3 (2 of those 3 played in the CFP Championship game) of their opponents last year. Like absolutely destroyed and completely dominated their opponents. And then having to explain to them that these very same opponents played other games on their own schedule. And how they played against like opponents. And how good teams don't play close games against weaker teams. And just like ND, we beat those effs up north 66-0 for crying out loud!!!! Etc. etc. Hopefully after this year all the Herbstreits will take a seat and just shut the eff up.

Mississippi St.

I read it somewhere that we were recruiting him for that position. I don't recall where and honestly, I might be confusing him with another recruit. I'm now having a hard time finding where I read it, unfortunately. He plays pretty much all the backer positions (including LB). His versatility will be utilized for sure. Hopefully he signs with us and we get to cheer for him on Saturdays.
