  1. He could be 4'10 for all I care. Just so long as he's a dawg on the field and has the Coach Cig mentality I'm sold! LOL!!
  2. I think it's the day college coaches can talk to 2027 recruits.
  3. Top 200 WR out of East St. Louis, IL 247 Rivals On3 X Account He's 5'11 and most likely will be utilized as a slot. Runs a 4.4 40. Let's hope he signs with us.
  4. Update Rankings Overall/Conference/Transfer 27/9/NA - 247 32/10/NA - Rivals 34/12/NA - On3 Sidenote: Coach Cig is landing recruits within the 4 hour radius. I think he mentioned his strategy is to dominate recruiting within this radius. For reference, 14 out of 23 total in the 2025 class are roughly within the 4 hour radius. So far, this year, there are 8 out of 12 total commits within the 4 hour radius. I personally like this strategy because it allows family and friends to see the players more often and being close to home is just a half day drive away. So just in case of emergency situations the player has viable options in a timely manner. I'm starting to pay closer attention to recruits in St. Louis, Chicago, Indy, Columbus OH, Cincy, and Nashville. I have a feeling the staff is hitting these cities the hardest if I had to guess.
  5. Top 50 TE out of Middletown, OH 247 Rivals On3 Now that he committed to IUFB it's possible (likely) he'll get more offers from the bigger dogs. It'll all depend on the type of season he has along with other TE recruit's commitments. Let's hope he signs and develops into a Zach Horton or better!!! He'll be competing with 2025's Andrew Barker and Blake Thiry for a chance to get on the field early. All three are great additions to the IUFB family and we can never have enough H/Tight Ends on the roster. Especially if they can block. He has a nice list of offers from various P4 schools.
  6. Wait until we compete with them and god forbid, possibly win those games. LOL!!! These guys' head will explode.
  7. OL out of Pittsburgh, PA 247 Rivals On3
  8. Updated Rankings Overall/Conference/Transfer 26/8/NA - 247 35/11/NA - Rivals 33/13/NA - On3
  9. Top 100 OT from Eau Claire, WI 247 Rivals On3 He had a couple of P4 offers. Now that he's committed to IU I foresee other P4 schools making offers. You can never have too many OLs. Let's hope he signs for IUFB.
  10. Maybe. But he said what he said. Might be a subtle warning shot to his boss. Who knows.
  11. Are we splitting hairs here? Was he lyin? ;-) Eff O$U!!!! That fanbase can pound sand.
  12. If he was told by his boss something and then his boss did something else. He'll leave if it's a pattern. I would do the same at my current place of employment. As anyone should that is trying to earn a living. He's got a resume to find work elsewhere that will meet his demands. It's that simple.
  13. It's one of those by-products of NIL/boosters not being discussed. Yeah, this is going to be a problem for a lot more schools other than IU.
  14. He has 100% always said what he means during his tenure here. The rest of country thinks he's too arrogant or a prick. And for us IUFB faithful, we love it and he's our arrogant prick. The climate has changed the focus on what is or should be the marquee program. Unfortunately, for all you IUBB first faithful that are reading this statement that's just the current situation. Sink or swim. Dolson understands this, sorta. And if we lose this coach because of a toxic fanbase/donors I'm probably going to absolutely lose my poop.
  15. Folks, I understand what everyone is saying here. IUFB is indeed competitive with NIL and coaching salaries. I know this. He didn't say anything about not being competitive. What he said was he would have liked to add more to the roster but couldn't because of the roster overhaul to the basketball team. He answered the question he was asked. Most of you are thinking he was joking. I simply don't think he was joking.
  16. @Pagoda I 100% agree priority is in the right direction. I don't think Pat is misinterpreting his comments. Pat most likely has a really good inside on these kinds of things and is probably hit up by WVU for NIL on a regular basis. Coach Cig will always thank the donors. It would be foolish not to. He's in the middle of the hornets' nest of donors when asked the question for crying out loud. Listen to his words not how it was delivered. Whenever I see NIL estimates like yours I typically take it with a grain of salt because, and I think you can fully admit it as well, we just don't fully know the numbers. I'm not saying they are wrong, I'm just saying I am skeptical about the actually figures. Also, I appreciate you sharing them with me. Bottom line, Coach Cig made a comment that is concerning for me and I am taking him at his word.
  17. If I'm Dolson, I'm looking at my revenue for the entire department and making sure the top generator is being fed first and foremost. Otherwise I might lose my job. Especially with the lack of rules set in place for the current environment. And if I'm Coach Cig and hearing what you're telling me, I'm upset and looking elsewhere. We need to fully understand and start thinking first and foremost, football. Period.
  18. There wasn't enough money. Listen to his words not how he delivered them. He wanted to add more to his roster but was cut off due to a roster overhaul in the basketball program. He wants to win a CFP Championship. He'll jump ship in a heartbeat if this is a continued problem for him. And don't think any school in the country won't want to hire him after the season he had last year. Again, if he was promised this kind of poop wouldn't happen to him he'll leave on his own terms. I would leave my job as well if I was promised one thing and was given the bait and switch. Dolson needs to figure this out, quick.
  19. This will get Coach Cig to leave for greener pastures. Believe me, it will. Especially if he was promised this kind of poop wouldn't happen to him. As an IUFB first and IUBB second fan, it irks me a little bit that this is something Coach Cig is facing. He's the best thing the IU athletic department has had since RMK and the toxic fanbase/donors is going to screw this up because they would rather hire a new basketball coach every time they lose a game. Dolson needs to get his sh!t together and understand football should be the priority if we want to survive this wild wild west known as NIL.
  20. I would like that but Coach Cig would probably want Bama or Georgia. Lol.
