This is a valid question. Next week? Probably. Through the next 30 days? Unknown. A broader question to anyone here, does IUFB have any wiggle room (enough scholarships etc. etc.) to bring in any transfers? I don't even know how all this works.
-
All of UCLA and Va Tech's players have a 30 day window to transfer. And with only 3 games played redshirt is still on the table to those that are eligible. The IU staff has a decent pipeline in Virginia and probably recruited a lot of Va Tech's current roster. Keep an eye on this.

Game 3 in the books. IUFB 73 ISU 0 3 consecutive 300+ yards rushing games and third game where a different WR was the main target. Next game: Illinois Fighting Illini

Yeah, this is kind of my fault for even posting it. I wasn't sure if I should have. If you take it down I won't be upset about it.

He must be seeing things on film to put a little heat on him. If I had to guess talking to him within the locker room might not be working and making it public might light a fire or something. He's done that to players in the past prior to IUFB. Look, Coach Cig understands coverage busts won't cut it against Illinois. Everyone needs to be on the same page for this game. It's a big one.

I don't know the details of UCLA's situation but I would have thought they'd score more than 33 points after two games. They've got Maryland, Northwestern and MSU on their schedule so if, and it's a big if, they win against New Mexico and end up with 4 wins does that mean they let go Foster? Maybe they'll turn things around by the time they come to Btown. Because if they do they could potentially be coming in with a 4-3 record.

His brother is the same way. I'm assuming the family is pretty outgoing in general, which really helps in front of a camera. Both of them played at Miami Columbus and were exposed to the press there as well.

That draft year the Colts got out managed by the Panthers. So it's safe to say all parties are at fault. They had a shot to move up from the 4th overall pick. Instead they ended up staying put. Who knows if they tried to move up but, imo, the only two viable picks that year were Young or Stroud (and I felt this way at the time as well). Personally, at the time, I wanted the Colts to give up the farm on Stroud. Today, I'm kind of glad that didn't happen, sorta, kinda. The jury is still out on Danny Dimes but I do like them drafting a QB last year. Maybe Leonard will end up being a solid player but I would have picked Rourke, for biased reasons. Leonard was a 6th round pick. Rourke was available at the time.

Game 2 in the books. IUFB 56 Kennesaw State 9. Quarter 2 wasn't good but overall, total domination. Next game: Indiana State Trees

Super bowl!!!

All signs are pointing to Irsay? I mean all of them could be the answer, right?

You're not wrong! Lol. Last year was the final straw that broke my back regarding Ballard. If they end up successful this season it'll definitely suggest it might not have Ballard all along.

Just like last year, the press didn't believe what we were doing. It just adds fuel to the chip in that locker room. I'm all for it. Plus, we'll get our chances to change the entire narrative. We play 3 schools in top 10.

The Dude abides on every single thing you've said here. Hopefully, this year will turn the skeptics into believers and the administration understands the economic value of opponent ROI. Also, as long as Coach Cig is coaching in Bloomington we're always going to have a winning football team. Coaching matters.

Illinois game officially a sellout.
Lebowski replied to eddy4iu's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
I don't think it’s ever happened. I could be wrong though. They have played each other when both were ranked at some point during the season (1946) but I don't think they played each other were they were both ranked for the game itself. -
I've looked at it. IUFB's schedule does not have Michigan on it, which is important for measuring SOS. Michigan only matters later on in the season if both schools are winning and like opponent are used to help determine certain metrics. I think they lose at least 3 games, maybe more, this year. I could be wrong but it's awfully difficult to win with a true freshman at QB. They'll get challenged big time by Nebraska, SC, Washington, and OSU. And I think every road game minus Northwestern will be difficult challenges for Underwood. If I had to bet, he's going to have some growing pains, especially on the road. Again, I could be wrong.

It's pretty much all of 812 brother. We hate it down here in the southwestern parts along the banks of the Ohio as well.

Not quite as important, for me at least, in the grand scheme of things, because neither is on our schedule.

Poop man, he still might be in the CFP this year. It's just one game and the sky is falling in Tuscaloosa.

Games to keep an eye on this Saturday: #11 Illinois (1-0) at Duke (1-0) - ESPN Noon ET Iowa (1-0) at #16 Iowa St. (2-0) - FOX Noon ET Oklahoma St (1-0) at #6 Oregon (1-0) - CBS/Paramount+ 3:30PM ET All of these games have impact for IUFB down the road and will give all of us a better picture regarding what kind of teams these opponents are, meaning contenders or pretenders. Oregon should handle OK State but the other two might be close games. Personally, I'd like to see all the B1G lose and realize that will impact SOS for us. But the more that lose in the conference the higher the chances of us looking to planning a weekend in Indianapolis during Conference Championship weekend. I know I'm getting way ahead of myself though.

Heading into week 2: Safety Bryson Bonds will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury. Safety Byron Baldwin Jr. is day to day. Safety Louis Moore (starter) is still able to play as he waits a final court ruling on his eligibility for the season that stems from a pending lawsuit against the NCAA. The safety position is a concern for depth.
