Ed Schilling Leaving, Mike Roberts Arriving
bigrod replied to Uspshoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul. -
Do you mean he's going elsewhere or reclassifying?

Has no one learned any lessons from Indiana about self-imposed penalties? Stop doing the job the NCAA is supposed to do for them. They obviously are too inept to do anything without self-reporting and self-imposed penalties. I bet Coach K and several other elite coaches got a good laugh out of that article.

I'm sure there's a hidden gem in there. Geez... Those are April and Priller rankings! -
Sounds good, but he has to redshirt for that to work.
-
That's funny - I thought the exact same thing when I saw the photo. Subliminal message at the very least...

I guess it's all relative, but 0-4 is pretty compelling to me. Watching the games, as I did, makes it even more compelling. You brought in overall records, but that wasn't really the point I was making. All I said at this point in their short tenures, Holtmann owns Archie. To me, that's almost the same as saying Holtmann is undefeated against Archie. That statement is 100% verifiable and compelling to me. Didn't mean to offend anyone. Obviously, my hope is that the tables turn in the very near future.
-
Makes it even more ironic that Holtmann owns him.
-
Archie vs. Holtmann and OSU 0-4 Archie vs Izzo and MSU 2-2 I guess you're right. Exactly the same scenario.
-
My definition is Holtmann's record against CAM. It is what it is. I am an Archie fan and I desperately want him to succeed, but to THIS point, Holtmann owns him. Just think of how much better IU would have looked on those records if not for the losses to OSU.
-
Not really sure why. Everything I've heard said that Holtmann wanted nothing to do with the IU job. On top of that, quite honestly, Holtmann has owned CAM in their short tenures so far. Why would he want him to leave?

I wouldn't mind either of these, but Moye is already working with players on skills development. The guy absolutely loves IU too. Seems like he would be a great fit. -

I appreciate your news flashes. We are in awe of your vast knowledge on so many topics (along with your consistent condescending attitude). But tell me, why do so many studies show that HGH actually increases after 12-24 hours of fasting? Seems counter intuitive to a dummy like me that a body that is eating itself would produce HGH.

Right, because if he finds something that all of his senses tell him is working, but the medical profession doesn't agree, he is obviously mistaken.

I wish an extra 30 lbs looked that good on me!

If these schools are smart, they'll follow the example set forth by NC and others and deny and lawyer up and let it play out in court. I still have trouble believing anything substantial will come of this in the way of punishment for any of these schools. That is almost as unbelievable as saying Kansas had to pay Zion to go there, but he went to Duke for free because he wanted to play for Coach K.

(2020) PG - Nijel Pack to Kansas State

Weber still trying to get us back for Gordon. -
Do you think bumper stickers may be involved??? Golly, let's hope not! If it's something minor like taking fake classes or getting paid, he'll be fine.
-
This whole thing is a bit of a head-scratcher, but especially when you add in that little nugget.

(2020) DE Deontae Craig to Iowa

Sounds like this is a done deal! -
I will be totally shocked if anything significant comes from any of this. I think the NCAA's record in these manners is pretty well proven: Unless you're stupid enough to self-sanction, or are a small school that doesn't bring give them million$ of rea$on$ to leave you alone, nothing will happen except maybe a show to make it appear that they still care.

Maybe the new commissioner could set up a group to study basketball officiating. He could call it the Warren Commission. They could study how the officiating affects shooters, but in the end, probably decide only one lone guy needs to shoot to be effective.

2019 Off-Season IU Roster News and Moves
bigrod replied to CrossboneIU22's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Side note: I went to one of the Pacer's playoff games when they were playing the Knicks at MSA back in the day. We got there early enough that we went court side while they were warming up. I could not believe how much bigger Dale and Antonio Davis (along with Smits) were in person than they appeared on TV. That was when The Knicks had Anthony Mason and Ewing. There were some big dudes beating on each other in that game. -

I realize players don't have to be as careful with their words, but when Morgan was asked if Hunter would play next year, he sounded much, much more optimistic.
