I’m not belly aching but rather answering his question “what else do you expect”? My last statement was that it was a positive that we got the road win. What are we supposed to say on a basketball forum? Green had 3 turnovers in three minutes but yippee he was trying. Romeo did not touch the ball much in the second half but maybe it’s great that others got a turn!!! Wow, our uniforms look nice !!!

Well....To name a few. I would like to see less turnovers. Prior to the game the announcers said we were last in the BT in turnovers. Getting Romeo more involved in the offense would be nice (ie...our offense doing more to get him touches/open). In the second half he did not touch the ball in multiple possessions. Coming out of the gate ready to play. They have started out nearly comatose in four of the last 5 games. Very positive to get a road win but we have a long way to go. Nice to win on the road. Those are never easy. Not sure if we can count on many teams missing 14 or so free throws at home. Don’t understand the offense. In the second half we had multiple possessions that went fairly deep into the clock without Romeo getting a touch. That should not happen. Good to see Rob turn it on. Probably lose without him. I’ll give Archie a lot of credit for having PSU go 1-8 from the ft line and telling Green to make two threes in a row.

I do not mean to offend anyone but we seem to have come out flat once again.

We are getting “one and done” opportunities ( no offensive boards) while they are getting several chances seemingly every time down.

He was walked off the court. His right leg was completely stiff and he could not put any weight on it. Fortunately (I hope) the trainers were working on his shin and not his knee or hammy.

And Fitzner being a consistent stretch 4, and much better defense and less turnovers. So far we are 0-7 in those expectations.

We did get better during the year. We also lost the last three games of the year including a 19 TO loss to Nebraska and a loss to Rutgers. I thought we started horribly, got much better and then faded a bit at the end of the season.

I don’t understand the “where is Moore” posts every game. Archie knows he needs more bigs, DD and Morgan frequently get in foul trouble, there are “big man” minutes sitting on a platter but yet Archie sees Moore practice every single day and decides not to play him. The reason is very obvious......He is not ready/good enough.

I see posts relating to issues in which people would like to see improvement but virtually no posts in which posters are “jumping ship” on Archie. Does pointing out things that did not go well in a game (or games) equate to jumping ship? Not in my opinion. Rather than jump ship I hope we have a great season, get healthy and go to the tourney. If that happens the curb-stomping in Durham and two “sleep walking” home games against extension schools will just be a blip in the season.

I agree. We obviously are not playing well, turning the ball over at an alarming rate etc but mentioning the obvious somehow leads to “jumping off the cliff” and “you think we should fire Archie now” comments. What are we supposed to say after the last three games? Nice try? Go team go? No, I am not jumping off the cliff nor saying we should fire Archie. I do say “the jury is still out” on him as it is with every new employee that has not exceeded expectations. I didn’t think we would beat Duke (in the prediction thread I picked Duke 88-67, very close, but did not expect us to lay down from the start) or hang a banner. I did hope that in year two we would protect the ball, hit free throws, continue to improve the improving defense, play hard with focus and have some sort of offense. I was at the Duke game and began to feel sorry for Romeo as he ran around trying to get the ball and do something. He is a slasher but we did virtually nothing to help open angles to the basket for him, set screens, nothing. We allegedly have 2 of the 8 or 10 best players in the BT but do very little to increase their opportunities on offense. Lets hope we see Marquette type performances the next 4 games.

I’m not so sure that losing Romeo, Morgan, McBob and Fitzner but adding TJD and Brooks vaults us into the top ten.
