Absolutely. But that would never happen. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I was probably Known As an archie pumper, however my stance was Never that archie was the guy. It was alwasy that firing archie gets us nowhere unless We have a homerun. And then came along someone forming out $10 million to kick him to the curb. TnTs all fine. But I was never and still am not on the Woodson train. You can’t fork over $10million on a toy that’s was nationally labeled a great hired unless you have a homerun. We hired a 60 something year Old man that’s never touched the college game. I do not Hate woodson but I have a lot of concerns. One being he seems to think he’s the smartest man in the room. I am not doubting his pedigree, but college is not the nba. Our defense is stellar no doubt, that’s all him. But our offense is atrocious. He came In cloning an open free flowing offense, Which would work great if you had 1-2 NBA caliber guards on the team that could create and get whenever they needed. But we don’t. We need a system. Run whatever sets out of that you want, but we need these guys to learn 2-3 continuity offenses that have set plays run out of them based on what the defense gives you. Woody has a long lonnnnnnng way to go. Am I super discouraged No, but I still think that $10,000,000 could have been better spent. I am very hopeful that once he gets a couple classes we truly see his vision. My concern is he thinks he’s the smartest man in the room (with no experience) and is too stubborn to take suggestions and change. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That’s fair. And I appreciate the conjecture without taking my initial comment personally. Love the back and forth when it remains civil, not sure why so many people get their feelings hurt just because someone disagrees with their opinion. I think it goes back further than 5 years. The last 5 years have been bad bad. But I long for the days of an Eric Gordon, AJ Guyton type player. We haven’t had a player that can score at all levels whenever needed in a long time, outside of a very select few. We’ve had some really good shooters during the Crean era but for the most part they were spot up. Don’t get me wrong I would love a Hulls or Roth capable shooter, we have to start there. But outside of Yogi and Oladipo (who’s personal development is up for debate, not saying Crean didn’t have a part in that but I think they worked their @$$ off on their on as well) we haven’t had someone that when we need a basket, you put the ball in their hands and they’re going to get one from anywhere on the court. I really miss the 2002 team. A group of 5-7 guys that could all contribute on any given night, not reliant on 1-2 guys carrying you. I don’t know if we will ever get back to those days. Edit: after posting and thinking more about it, I guess there have been more knockdown shooters than I remembered. Just seems so long since I’ve seen it that it seems like a very distant memory. You don’t think once in the NBA players don’t have personal trainers and improve in size and strength? You don’t think a players get stronger from HS freshman year to HS senior year? We aren’t turning these guys in to the Incredible Hulk. All these off season pictures he posts, while they look impressive, the before pictures are clearly taken in a normal resting state while the after pictures are clearly directly after a workout so the muscles are going to be “swollen” and causes people to think he’s made a night and day difference to their bodies. Players consistently train and get stronger throughout their careers and it doesn’t seem to effect their shooting. While I would love the cause of our horrendous 3pt shooting to be that simple, I think we just don’t have good shooters. And I don’t know this first hand but it doesn’t appear we have anyone on staff that specializes in shooting Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

No denying that there has been cheating at IU, but good lord we suck at it. What’s the point in cheating if you can’t even cheat good. I’m not trying to openly offer brand new houses and blank checks to players, but let’s get with it. I have no problem pushing the gray area to the max. As long as you don’t self sabotage it’s been proven by the likes of Kansas, Duke, UK that nothing will happen. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
As far as the two new guys we brought in. For whatever reason (probably because he would light us up at NW) I think we over hyped Kopp as some kind of 3pt assassin. But when you look at his stats year over year he shot the ball exactly what his career average has shown him to be. Low to mid 30s. Parker actually has his best year as far as %, the problem with him is he doesn’t shoot well off the dribble or creating his own shot. He has to be set. And we didn’t utilize that very well imo. Kopp and Stewart don’t need to be out there at the same time. We did run a few sets for Stewart but it was the same play almost every time, but seems like we had some success with it. Volume was his problem, outside of not being able to shoot off the dribble. Hopefully this starts to change as Woodson recruits come in, but we have been starved for consistent shooters in what feels like an eternity Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The conference hasn’t won a title since 2000. We beat up on each other all season and then come tournament time it’s a different game. There’s a few outliers occasionally but no one is scared of the B1G in tournament play. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

How do you turn off caring so much? Being an IU fan has been one of the least satisfying experiences in my lifetime. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I wouldn’t say that I necessarily like it, but Given the circumstances I really have no problem with it either. If those roles were reversed (Purdue sucking for a decade plus and losing to use year after year) they storm the court as well. As I think most programs would given that scenario. Had it been a blowout win, I think I would like it even less. But given the circumstances and the way the game was played coming down to the last two possessions, again I have no problem with it. Also, I am saying this as a fan watching from TV. Had I been there in person and still been a college student, I would bet large amounts of money my @$$ would have been out there as well. Ball movement needs to drastically get Better. If you want to play an uptempo offense you have to swing the ball and move. Too much dribbling and standing with the ball, looks a lot like what we’ve been used to the last few years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Anyone know of any notable names that made the game. I know woody said he had 30+ expected to come. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
It’s not just $50 for a ticket, it’s $50 multiplied by X attendees for our athletes. This is a big deal IMO, for these athletes and for future recruits. It’s an opportunity for fans that aren’t millionaire boosters to contribute to a brand new opportunity that IU seems to be trying to get out in front of and really take advantage of it.
