Old Friend talking about 'here to pick a fight guy'......irony sure is ironic. BTW, 'you have been in every thread where I've seen your name' may be the most meaningless statement every made on a message board. You are correct; every thread I've been in I've been in.

While the suggestion that Sudfeld would have have a Oladipo like impact is hilarious, an average back up QB who has worked with Frank Reich has value. The price tag is likely low and if it isn't, you don't make the trade. The Colts are in a situation where everyone in their QB depth chart just moved up a spot. And the fact that he is injured right now means he's in a sell low state. Backing up Brissett is a Phillip Walker, 5'11" undrafted QB from Temple who completed over 60% of his passes in only one game in his college career and Chad Kelly, a guy who hasn't taken a snap in his three year career and can't even suit up for the first two weeks because of season because of conduct violations. It's not really a question of whether or not Sudfeld is better than the alternative backups they have.

Reading comprehension is a skill. A guy 'not sucking' does not mean 'players who played at IU are better than those who played anywhere else'. Get over yourself.
-
Comparing Nate to Oladipo is dumb.....but saying Sudfeld sucks is just as.

I've seen him play.....uber athletic. He's a guy they could move to tight end if they wanted to. -

Y'all know it's Billy Donovan. -
Galloway, Leal....is the next domino Austin Van Zyl?
-
I predict we will be more interesting to watch than last year.
-
Good news! Chuck Lofton just put a crystal snow globe on Leal to IU.

I'll be refreshing this all day long tomorrow. https://twitter.com/weatherchannel?lang=en

I think Austin Boucher did. Didn't even need an offer.

Another difference is that Ohio State certainly regressed from year one to year two.....3 losses in year one, 12 in year two. I think as years go on it becomes more about the current coach and less about what they inherited.

I just keep waiting for a certain poster to say it's a good day to be in Bloomington.

Took me a while, but found them for the past season: 17 games, 12.2 ppg, 71/146 from the field (49%), 39/93 from three (42%), 27/43 free throws (63%), 2.9 rpg, 2.9 apg, .8 topg. https://www.exposuresportsnews.com/roster_players/32276167

Ideally, but there are going to be misses in evaluation (or injuries) that will mean there are going to be some a guy or two that fits this category if they choose to stay if a coach uses his full allotment of scholarships.

I think it transcends it just being in-state players. Every time you go to the next level your competition is going to be tougher and your effort is going to have to improve. I don't like talking about players after they leave -- I really don't -- but everything I heard about Clifton Moore was that the effort was never really there.

If you want an X and O guy, he's pretty good. As a recruiter, not sure he is going to bring much to the table in terms of a major conference. That said, he's been a head coach at a (very successful) NAIA school for the past 14 years. Would think that he'd be more like a guy that would move up to the head coach of a low major job than be an assistant as a high major. -

I deleted my post because it was basically the same joke that deserthoosier had made. After I posted, I saw his and deleted mine. Nothing more. -

What was Lickliter looking to gain at this point? After Iowa, he took the head job at Marian and then was a scout for three years with the Celtics after that. He's 64 now and says he is retiring. Regardless of his opinion of McCarthy, he's spent his last 40 years as a high school head coach, a college assistant, a college head coach, and as an NBA scout. Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if his future involvement in basketball at any level is very, very minimal. -

Penny Hardaway has the #1 recruiting class in basketball and to me sounds like a 100% disingenious snake salesman. What recruits want to hear isn't necessarily what impresses us. At the end of the day, Evansville got a coach that played in the league for 11 seasons and has NBA assistant coaching experience. At a place like Evansville, it's probably worth the risk to bring in someone like him. -

He's a ball hog. When he does catch it, he never gives it up.
