  1. Will be at the game today....making the 3 1/2 hour trek,
  2. I think expectations have changed for him over time. He isn't -- and likely never was -- a guy who could play thirty minutes per game and get up and down the court in an up tempo offense. He also -- for his size -- isn't a great rebounder. Basically he's going to have to put into situations where his strengths can be used -- he definitely can back defenders down in the low post and as long as you are playing him under 20 minutes per game, he can be aggressive defensively. Brunk and here have quite a few similarities, but there are some differences as well. Brunk is a little more mobile but he's definitely not a shot blocker on the defensive end nor as intimidating on that end. Ultimately I'd like to get 35 minutes of 14 points and 9 rebounds out of the two of them combined. Last year between Davis at IU and Brunk at Butler, they combined for 32 minutes and, 13 points and 6 rebounds. I think the key is going to be getting more rebounds out of that spot than they've given in the past.
  3. I am positive that Garcia either picks IU or someone else. So, like every recruit, it's 50-50.
  4. Have to give Damezi some props. He was a guy that everybody thought would look to transfer to a lower major where he'd get guaranteed minutes. He stayed and said all the right things about needing to get better and he certainly looks to have worked on his game. Still isn't looking at guaranteed minutes but I hope he sticks for four years and at some point because a key player.
  5. De'ron has never shown he's ever been a guy who could play more than 20 minutes because of fatigue/fouls. Not sure why he would expect more than that.....he are Brunk are going to split time.
  6. Damezi has hit a couple of shots.
  7. It’s aged well in that things turned out well. I’ll admit I was wrong and I hope I continue to be.
  8. Right now there isn't that much difference between Penix and Ramsey, so if Penix is 90% there isn't a reason to go with him over a 100% Ramsey.
  9. What's incredible is how they have put up almost completely identical stats to this point despite the differences in how they achieved them. Penix has 145 passes for 1,232 yards with 10 touchdowns and 4 interceptions and 115 yards rushing; Ramsey has 147 passes for 1,194 yards with 8 touchdowns and 3 interceptions and 121 yards rushing. Ultimately, Penix has a higher ceiling but Ramsey is a quality Big Ten starting quarterback.
  10. I said a couple of weeks ago that I had three thoughts: 1. I didn't think Allen was a good coach for the job. 2. I could most certainly be wrong in my opinion and 3. Because of #2 (and really that is true for pretty much everyone's opinion) that thirty games wasn't long enough to give a true assessment. I'm 100% behind being wrong about #1. I'd rather win and be wrong than right and lose. Pass the salt, I'm always happy to eat crow if it means good things for IU.
  11. Moon over Parma ......WE'RE GOING BOWLIN'
  12. As much as they've hemmed in Scott, he now has 59 yards on 14 carries.
  13. Nebraska thinking of taking their timeouts with them?
  14. Still need a first down. Don't want them getting the ball back....they have two more timeouts.
  15. IU ball as Nebraska turns it over on downs.
  16. Nebraska missed extra point will get us the win. I'm calling it.
  17. Score points and make McCaffrey have to be an actual QB.
  18. Do NOT go into a shell on offense. Continue with what is working.
