  1. Actually, 57.4. But your point is valid.
  2. Think thisis one of those games where Davis will have trouble getting on the court. They want to play fast and a little undersized.
  3. I hate the television practice of televising games two hours apart when the average game goes about two hours and fifteen minutes.
  4. Peyton Ramsey to start in place of Phinissee.
  5. Not raining now and isn’t likely to rain during the game.
  6. FWIW, the largest scoring run by Princeton was 5 points.
  7. They were actually 4-14 in the first half and 2-13 in the second. https://iuhoosiers.com/documents/2019/11/20//IU_79_PU_54_Box_Score_PDF_.pdf
  8. Finally something positive from Thompson.
  9. DeVonte: "**** you guys....I'll do it myself."
  10. Brunk hates Green.
  11. I agree with what you are saying about IU already landing 'kids like Garcia'. What people are trying to say -- but aren't -- is that we aren't landing all players in that range. Few schools do. In terms of Luke Brown, IU isn't alone in terms of being high majors who aren't actively recruiting him. He's getting most of his attention from MAC level schools right now. That said, he's just beginning his junior season and still has time to raise the level of program he could play at. He did play a better level of competition in AAU this past year and Blackford added a couple of good small programs to their schedule this year. He could certainly do himself some favors by showing well against Andrean this year -- a team that won the 2A title last year that Blackford picked up this year.
  12. As the article says, that was information that the paper obtained from the court documents under the freedom of information act. I’m a teacher and I know if there is one thing that schools will not look to admit these things into evidence without corroborating witnesses....simply put, schools do there best to avoid putting themselves in a case of liability — often to the detriment of their case. When a school makes themselves liable, it is something that becomes big news. Every school will consult with their retained lawyers before submitting testimony. additionally, it seems that the mother hasn’t been exactly secret about her intentions.
  13. Being around high school basketball, I can tell you when both schools recommend a denial of eligibility, their are 100% good reasons for it. additionally, schools can not discuss publicly reasons for denial due to privacy rules involving minors....so usually the public will side with the parents who can state their case publicly unfettered. Since they aren’t coming off well, it’s probably an open and shut denial case. also seems very telling that Forest Park will be having its third coach and three years for what sounds like coaches getting fed up with dealing with Hopf’s mother.
  14. I would think Wojo would have connections with Marquette insiders as well.....but I haven't seen any of them pick Marquette yet. Honestly, I think it's just a case at best Andrew Slater might have just a peripheral conversation and Wojo said he 'felt good' which he'd say either way. It's really not in a coach's best interest to leak what they really feel about a player.....if they express optimism, then fans get upset if they don't sign. Express pessimism and fans get upset and the player in question may feel unwelcome. I'm sure that Archie felt very good about Geronimo signing but never leaked any of that info.
  15. Andrew Slater put a crystal ball on Marquette....not a big surprise as he is the boss of the guy who put a ball on Marquette a few days ago (Lykins). Lykinz has the MO on just latching on to other people picks and likely Slater told him he thought Garcia was leaning toward Marquette.
  16. I would just like to add that I have no clue where he goes. If you want sources, I can name some pretty influential people who can attest to my cluelessness.
  17. FWIW, the Duke 'insider' (Chad Lykins) who last week picked Garcia to Marquette was three of three on picks this past weekend....but how he was three of three tells the story. Chris Moore picked Auburn on Saturday afternoon....at 9:42 AM, Evan Daniels picked him to go to Auburn. Three others shortly followed suit and then Lykins picked Auburn. Same day, at Andrew Slater picked Isaiah Jackson to go to Kentucky (Slater runs Devil's Den and is Lykins employer) and a half hour later Lykins picked Kentucky for him. Jackson announced in the afternoon. Same thing happened with a kid going to Alabama, Lykins picked the kid going to Alabama on the day of his announcement after other more significant insiders picked him to do so that day. So I wouldn't call Lykins pick anything of any significance. If the significant insiders pick Garcia to Marquette the day of his announcement, Lykins will keep his prediction. If Garcia picks IU and insiders insiders pick Garcia to IU prior to the announcement, Lykins will switch.
  18. Team was 7-2 and goes toe-to-toe with the #9 team in the nation while our backup QB, and that's your take away?
  19. Honestly, I never thought coming in he was just going to be an adequate defender at best. In terms of hedging, that's been in Archie's defense all along (having bigs hedge up top) and then have a guy rotate underneath until the big recovers.
  20. Huh? He came in averaging 8 points and 5 boards in 19 minutes per game on 64% shooting. What were you expecting from him?
  21. Yeah, but if Purdue is a top 4 Big Ten team than the Big Ten is a mid-major.
  22. Anyone else think it would entertaining to let Gus Johnson get the vending machine sushi burrito and announce a game?
  23. Despite Damezi's shooting woes as a freshman, I never worried about his ability to shoot the ball. he was too good in high school for those shots not to fall. Question was more about him getting in the flow of the offense and defense.
