The last couple pages of this thread are ridiculous. We get it. Some of you say absolutely no to Beard while others are willing to look past his baggage. Lets move on. He'll be considered. He's one of the best coaches out there - there's no doubt. All Scott needs to do is call the Texas AD and find out whatever he legally can. A decision to either keep him on the list of cross him off will be made quickly.

Doesn't Hoiberg have some sort of a heart issue? Not sure he'd want the stress that comes with IU. At Nebraska if he loses - no one cares. If he wins - they still won't care as much as football but he'd be beloved. No true pressure.

This is why I don't believe there was a meeting about booing. I mean, come on. What do you talk about? Fans are booing bc the product is ****. Improve then product, win, and the boos go away. If true, the police will get involved but to go on twitter and claim a coach in the program told you Woody is getting death threats - come on - why do that? Attention? The other part about a meeting about the fans booing. That - sure - I believe that may have happened. I'm just not sure what the substance of that meeting would be. "Scott, the fans keep booing me, what do we do?" "I don't know, Woody - maybe win?" Death threats (if true) are totally unacceptable but booing comes with the territory and honestly, it's well deserved. It's only going to get worse.

Unfortunately that's what comes when you make the kind of $$$ these kids are nowadays. In their heads it's "hey, I make a boat load to play on the floor, you're paying to watch me, how dare you criticize me" If they didn't have those checks coming, they might have some humility. There's no excuse for Woody. He's an adult and hasn't won **** in his career. He's lucky to be our head coach.

I think at the very least we need to see effort, fundamentals, and players playing like they give a **** - coaches as well. The fanbase rallied around Crean's first couple teams despite nothing but losses bc they played hard and you could tell the coaching staff was engaged - something good was brewing. Totally different situation back then but you get the point. We appreciate hard work and hustle. The wins will come. If they don't, you'll get fired.
