What's your take on pushing Woody to a retirement announcement mid-season? Purely to safeguard in the event he goes on a run? Wo many things just don't add up.

There's no doubt our fanbase is impatient. IMO, this is just bc we're sick and tired of being mediocre and know what could be here. Brad is the one hire that will get ultimate patience. Everyone else - probably not.

I have a very hard time believing we wouldn't agree to whatever he wanted unless it was something like renaming Assembly Hall after him. This all seems positive. What am I missing?

If pressure is keeping him from coming to IU then no one should want him. We need a coach that wants to be here. We need a coach with the passion and love for IU basketball that Crean had, just with better coaching abilities. If Dusty would rather stay at the football school where basketball will always be the lil brother purely bc it's more comfortable, safer, and gives him a warm, fuzzy feeling - then I don't want him here. We need someone with some damn balls. That's why some love Beard. That's why some love Bruce Pearl. That's why some can get on board with Buzz Williams. No more nice guy attitude and you know what they say about nice guys...
