Well, he was a crappy NBA coach before he was a crappy college coach... no worries, though, bad man is gone. There's a new sheriff in town, and Rod Clark is an excellent hire...

Might be a good time to add player names to the jerseys. let the fighting begin

I understand the not leaving a scholarship open... get someone who may develop into a usable piece next year... or someone who can help bang in practice... For me, the biggest part of the issue is the status of Luke Goode. Clearly, he's a valuable piece if he can get the extra year (and I've seen hints online both ways in that regard). If Goode is able to come back, that's a much better option than using the scholarship for a "filler" guy. But leaving an open scholarship makes no sense at all. -

So, we won the off-season the last two years and crapped the bed when the ball was tipped. People b!tched and moaned that the talent didn't pan out... This year we have a new coach who didn't gather a collection of players on the level of the last guy, and the sky is falling... Sheesh... y'all need to pick a lane. -

IMO, let's wait and see what Coach DeVries is able to do with his team. The last 3-4 years we had a hack throwing bags at stars with no clue as to whether the stars were warranted, and no clue what to do with any talent that he actually stumbled upon. This is not that. -

Understood... but the NCAA is a joke. Their "enforcement" is ridiculous, and teams like UNC, KY, Duke, Kansas and others have cheated throughout the history of the NCAA, and by and large, gotten away with it. Sure, there's a slap on the wrist every now and then, but there was absolutely no "risk of getting caught", and even less "facing penalties", just like aways... The system is broken beyond repair, and I don't see a fix anywhere on the horizon. Congress can't even get their settlement deal approved... time to "just lay back and enjoy" it... -

As much as I want to agree, setting caps, limits and rules will only force the excess back under the tables and into the shadows. And, yes, it will only get worse as we move forwards, regardless of what tact "we" take. -

Good article on Dorn... and note the photo and the proper use of a basketball rim as a photo prop (BTucker, I'm looking at you) https://www.insidethehall.com/2025/04/26/elon-transfer-nick-dorn-talks-commitment-to-iu-basketball-they-were-honest-and-kept-it-real/ https://www.instagram.com/reel/DI2MYvDpy4f/ -

Is there a projected time line for a decision on Goode's petition for another year? Also, Tucker DeVries also needs a waiver, but assume that's an easy one... -
I really think this is a good thing. It might suck for the kids getting sued, but in the end, I think it will bring the whole NIL free-for-all to a head, and it will ultimately usher the age of reason back to this mess.

2025-2026 IUBB Season Expectations
AZ Hoosier replied to Hoosierfan2017's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Indeed. Recent history has taught is that even in February and March, they're still getting to know one another... But seriously, I agree... new coach, new system, new players... it's a matter of how quickly CDD can get this team to gel... my confidence is high - he will get it done, and we'll have a decent season... Did Coach get the overseas trip approved? That will help with the gelling, -
