Question that may be more academic than not... if a player enters the portal and signs... then de-commits, can he re-enter the portal even if the portal has closed? Not sure this applies to Miles, as he may not have actually signed with TAMU, but still, it's something I wonder about...

Woodson also got a pass on SOS... many of us here on BTB could win 60% of the games against that level of competition with the talent that Woodson collected. Without TJD carrying him for the first 2 seasons, Woodson was a solid F.

I understand the not leaving a scholarship open... get someone who may develop into a usable piece next year... or someone who can help bang in practice... For me, the biggest part of the issue is the status of Luke Goode. Clearly, he's a valuable piece if he can get the extra year (and I've seen hints online both ways in that regard). If Goode is able to come back, that's a much better option than using the scholarship for a "filler" guy. But leaving an open scholarship makes no sense at all.
