  1. Two words: February and twenty-fourth
  2. Welched on a payment to the conference. To the tune of $1M.
  3. DeVries said early on that his teams would push the ball up the court and get a shot within 12 seconds on the shot clock. Haven't seen much of that at all so far this year.
  4. SIAP https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/former-iu-basketball-player-michael-lewis-out-as-head-coach-of-ball-state/
  5. If he's still pursuing/entertaining offers, why does the thread title say "TO INDIANA"?
  6. Never Daunted (at least in football): 77 THE annoying suckeyes: 71
  7. Just heard the news that Lou Holtz has passed away today. He was 89. RIP. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/48103098/legendary-football-coach-commentator-lou-holtz-dies-89 https://www.foxnews.com/sports/legendary-college-football-coach-lou-holtz-dead-89
  8. While this may well be true, I see the Raiders as an equally bad landing spot for Fernando.
  9. After Leal and Galloway tried to dress down the fanbase 2 years ago, I'm fine to see this change. The whole Woodson s#!t show from that time frame left a bad taste, and ruined the fun for everyone. Mediocre Mike, this one's on you. #goodriddance Yeah, I'll be able to let it go someday. Maybe.
  10. I have no love lost for Beck, but Pavia is a special kind of punk.
  11. I don't have an issue with a "moneyball" approach... but we need serviceable talent at all positions, and some depth at a minimum. Paying top dollar for individual pieces that don't mesh or gel into a team is not the answer. We did that for 3 or 4 years with the previous guy. And we definitely need a guy that can coach 'em up. Again, that was lacking previously... and, frankly, I've got some questions about some of the coaching moves this season, as well.

  13. I am of the opinion that that DeVries isn't the arrogant @$$ that the last guy was. So, there's that.
  14. So long as CDDV doesn't banish Carr to the end of the hall and ignore him like the last guy did with his "helper".
  15. Therein lies the rub. Having been an atrocious football school for over 100 years makes what Cig did almost incredulous... and having lived through the RMK glory years, I'd have given anything to have s**tcanned Woodson and gone all-in on Dusty May at the time. Now I want both, and believe that CDDV, with the proper support, will get the basketball program resurrected. But to be totally honest, I never saw what Cig has accomplished as remotely possible. I would have gone with Dusty.
  16. Saw this posted somewhere and wanted to see what y’all thought. IU coaching dilemma: Would you have fired Woodson and hired Dusty May OR Would you have hired Curt Cignetti
  17. Pinch me. I have to be dreaming. IU football is the national champions, and we're paying our coach over $13M/year. Need to buy some lottery tickets!
  18. Who knows. The Bears' statement, as quoted in the article: "We are committed to finishing the remaining site-specific necessary due diligence to support our vision to build a world-class stadium near the Wolf Lake area in Hammond, Indiana. "We appreciate the leadership shown by Governor Braun, Speaker Huston, Senator Mishler and members of the Indiana General Assembly in establishing this critical framework and path forward to deliver a premier venue for all of Chicagoland and a destination for Bears fans and visitors from across the globe. We value our partnership and look forward to continuing to build our working relationship together."
