  1. Just saw this on twitter ... we got us a couple of Captains Obvious right there:
  2. Raftery said this was Nebraska's first road win vs a top 25 team since 2016. Any guesses who they beat in that one?
  3. Dude, we've been there since the end of Knight's tenure.
  4. Turned it off. Life's too short to watch bad basketball. Pathetic effort. Too many turnovers. And they're stinkin' up AH.
  5. I am pretty sure that Sean Miller won’t be involved. In addition to any prison time, Miller’s contract states that he will be fined $1M if he’s proven to be involved in as much as an NCAA level 1 infraction. But with that said, one has to wonder how this stuff can go on at these schools and the HC is totally oblivious. Not buying that at all.
  6. Ol’ Bill has fried more than his share of brain cells over the years.
  7. Rob Phinisee needs to get healthy quick... not sure I can set through another game with Green at the point...what a freaking liability.,
  8. But Alford doesn’t interview. His resume speaks for itself [emoji15]
  9. Only marginally better than Larry Brown.
  10. As interesting and enticing as Donovan was, (and I would have loved that hire), I don't believe that he was ever a serious candidate...smokescreen? wishful thinking by some? can't say... but there were just too many factors against it...
  11. Yep. My take is that Alford could "100 percent" not take a job that wasn't offered... sour grapes, posturing, whatever. Glass heard the roar of the crowd and moved away from Alford... and Stevie was left trying to save face.
  12. More speculation: @SethDavisHoops @TheAthleticCBB Early indications show that Lavar Ball is the front runner for the position.

  14. That may be true of a lot of things, but I highly doubt it's true of basketball recruiting.
  15. Up next? Maryland... just how dirty is Mark Turgeon? We just might find out. https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/ncaab/bigten/2018/07/06/maryland-subpoenaed-fbi-investigation-college-basketball-recruiting/763033002/
  16. I've suggested this scenario several time relative to this discussion: Use the football divisions... 14 teams in 2 divisions, 7 teams each. Play each team in your division twice - home and away (12 games) Play each team in the other division once, alternating home and away each year (7 games) The two division winners play each other for the league championship, automatic tournament bid and trash the money-grabbing B1G tournament, altogether. Now you have a 19 game conference schedule and everyone plays a balanced schedule... it really doesn't seem that difficult to me. Similarly, the NCAA could simply add an additional weekend to the NCAA tournament and include 256 teams... many problems solved...And, yeah, I get it, the 257th team would be pissed to not make the tournament, but who really cares... if you're 257 out of 300+, does it really matter?
  17. It very well could be "old"... just asking "for a friend". ;) I just got an email from my guy in Bloomington... he is a retired professor, and still somewhat "in the know"... but ...
  18. Just got this from a Btown friend... according to him, it's the "hot rumor in Bloomington" this week: Any insiders with any details?
  19. All of the whining, crying and flopping are the reasons that I rarely watch any NBA game.
  20. With one more weekend, you can expand the tournament to 256 teams. Problem solved. Except for the 50 or so teams that don’t get in. Stupid is as stupid does.
  21. Yeah, no doubt Archie and the staff had a plan for bringing him in, otherwise, he'd be enrolling somewhere else... but you didn't address my point, specifically in response to your statement "I seriously doubt he knowingly transfers to play the same or fewer minutes at IU then [sic] he did at SMC". That, most likely, is exactly what happened. I seriously doubt Archie promised him anything more than an opportunity to play here - certainly no guarantee to start, or even get more minutes than he got at SMU.
  22. Playing devil's advocate for a minute ... one could argue that there's a reason he spent 3 years at SMC instead of IU, or any other major... I like what little that I've seen of his game, but does it make sense for something of a role player at a mid-major to transfer into a major program and expect significantly more minutes?
