  1. The betting spread is more about the $$$ distribution than anything else.
  2. From everything that I've read, Whittington's "injury" is a viral infection (cold/flu/COVID or similar).
  3. Tell me again how many years Carson Beck got?
  4. From an Oregon Ducks forum: https://forum.fishduck.com/topic/18084-good-lord-whittington-listed-as-questionnable/ No. 7 Not great news Hill is going to be very important this game. Guy has only had over 6 carries twice this year (7 at Iowa and 10 at Penn State). No. 8 Rumor is some kind of bug. No. 9 In an interview earlier in the week he said his kid had a little cold and he wasn’t sleeping much. So hopefully that is all it is and they get him a strong IV to knock it out.
  5. Yeah, @Hovadipo gave him his own thread:
  6. Apart from the NIL investment, I'd let him come back, and then let him ride the bench.
  7. I have no problem with Hendrickson's approach. Agents have a reputation just a notch or two above lawyers, but in this case, William's actions could have put him in a bad spot. Best to just cut ties and announce it to the world.
  8. While may be true on the surface, the old adage that "a fool and his money are soon parted" comes to mind. Even Dr Phil warned us... "the best predictor of future behavior is past, relevant behavior". Woodson's spots were widely known. At best it was a fool's errand.
  9. Yeah, I see that as making rules, then bending them to meet your perceived needs. Indiana's run defense will make this a non-starter for the Ducks, and will render the whole Harris discussion moot.
  10. TCU has a couple of monster offensive linemen in the portal: Rasheed Jackson, 6-7, 325. Quinton Harris, 6-8, 305.
  11. Still not seeing much action on the OL gets. Grateful for the defense gets and the weapons on offense, but we still need help with the OL. Let's beat the Ducks, then get the OL depth covered.
  12. Thank God and Greyhound, Keisei Tominaga, that Japanese sharp-shooter, is gone.
  13. Giving Woodson that chunk of cash was the same as flushing it away. Regardless of who he managed to get, he still had to coach them. I see the Darian DeVries tenure much differently. He's delivered to a large extent, and he's doing a decent to good job with the team he managed to put together. You are correct, that everyone love a winner, and even the Cubbies' fans know that hope springs eternal... but with some of our past coaches, the handwriting was on the wall and guys like Buckner continuing to throw good money after bad trying to show that they were right. It was an epic failure and a fool's errand. Hopefully this is not that.
  14. Paywalled. In what world would I want to subscribe to a Toledo newspaper?
  15. It was clearly satisfying to see a Hoosier team actually win the second half. That has been a struggle for this team.
  16. More solid info on our 30-year-old punter: Based on recent reports, Billy Gowers is a barber by trade. Key details regarding his status as a barber: Professional Background: He is frequently described as a "barber by trade" and has balanced his athletic career with his work in the hair industry. Business Ownership: He co-owns a barbershop called Zeppelin (located in Melbourne, Australia) with a close friend. Education: Records indicate he trained at The Barber Academy and has been involved in educating other apprentices at the Barber Hub. Current Status: Even while playing American college football, he has been referred to by his teams as a "potential team barber" for his teammates.
  17. Could he be ready for the championship game on the 19th?
  18. Is Dorn our hatchet man? FOUR PFs in 12 minutes...
