  1. Is this an appropriate place for my rant about Welch's Fruit Snacks?   I mean, their best known juice is their grape juice and no surprise, it's their best fruit snack too. So, why can I not buy a box of Welch's Grape Juice Fruit Snacks?   Oh, De'Ron stood up. I'll finish this later.
  2. Or that kid is going to have a very confusing hat.
  3. De'Ron Davis is a short white kid in a stripped cape?   That was unexpected.
  4. You can't unbend a bent brim Kepner! Take a hat class already!   It is so appropriate Miss State's hat looks exactly like what you'd expect a good ole boy to wear on his ATV.
  5. Quick! Everyone research what kind of brim Davis usually wears! If it's curved it's Miss State if it's flat it's us!   Actually, Miss State may literally be a trucker hat.
  6. Hope everyone caught a glimpse of that bootay fillin' up the screen a moment ago.
  7. Nah, you're probably right.   It's easy to forget the posters on sites like this aren't necessarily representative of the fan base. I do think there would be some suspicion, but we would chock it up to the Indiana name being so powerful to draw in this class on it's own. It's just human nature to rationalize away those kinds of negative accusations. The people who said it was suspicious would eventually quit their complaining when we saw some serious results and when the NCAA eventually noticed something wrong we would all wring our hands and talk about how surprised we were and how evil the NCAA is for attacking us.    The people who don't follow recruiting would never give it a second thought.
  8. No way. I said it was unlikely. But, sure would be cool eh?   I can't even believe it. There does have to be a point where the NCAA starts to think someone is recruiting way too well right? How could it be believable at all for this to happen naturally? I can buy the Mississippi kids, I can even buy some other kids along for the ride, but eventually it becomes too much. If Tom Crean pulled in the class Howland is in his second year at Indiana, we would have been suspicious of him too. And that's Indiana.
  9. So was Vonleh, didn't keep him here. Raw potential and physical gifts can be enough for some teams. I don't know how deep the 2017 draft will be so I can't say who his competition will be.
  10. They could play together if we landed Thon and he knew Matur was coming and decided not to go to the NBA after one year because he wanted to play with his brother in college.   I mean, it's unlikely and involves foregoing millions of dollars for an extra year and risking injury, but possible.
  11. Then why can't he see why kids love the taste of cinnamon toast crunch? No wait. I mean, why can't he see why adults love the conversation of Btown Banners?   It's the football background right? I keep saying basketball season has started and we need to lose it.   And my fault for diverging some with my joke. Keep it under control folks or I'll split us out into our own thread and it will only have like 5 posts in it and no one will read it and it will all be silly.
  12. I always wonder if it's a physical or mental failing explaining our fourth quarter problems. I think we definitely faded in the fourth quarter against Iowa too, which, points me toward conditioning. But, since it's been a trend in Indiana football for awhile now, you have to wonder if it's mental instead. Or both really.   We had the talent and skill to beat Iowa (and you're right, Howard's run game was tearing them up, why back off?). We might have the talent and skill to beat Michigan (it may just be my love for Harbaugh, but I think regardless of talent and skill, you have to out-coach Michigan to beat them). We definitely do against Maryland and Purdue (on the road in the Big Ten we don't historically do super awesome, but have to change that sometime).    The season isn't over. If this team decides they're going to overcome whatever has been holding them back in the last 15 minutes of each game, then they have a shot. If they can't make that leap, then basketball season has started!
  13. I don't know.    I have a lot of trouble believing anyone could respect posters on the 247 board. If they could, they'd be here.
  14. Oh bugger me. I forgot to ever go back and actually order this. That explains why it never came.   Sorry Alaska! I know I said I'd get you one too and mail it up since we're nearly neighbors! I'll order a couple today.
  15. Peter Jurkin has a little brother?!?!
  16. Two Miss State guys who almost exclusively pick football picks if I remember correctly.   Though, I guess that's probably true of everyone at Miss State.
  17. While I'm still allowed to say it, I don't think Davis is a one-and-done.
  18. I said it before the season, I'll say it again now. Recovery from this kind of knee issue for someone who uses their knees in such specific ways and needs to trust their motion is very difficult. I was concerned when Crean said after the first practice JBJ was having some trouble, I'm increasingly concerned seeing him play. Hopefully, he's going to work this out, but I do get nervous with these kinds of injuries. He needs to relearn to trust it and how to not let it affect his shot.   I wrote some more before I think. But then posting it broke the site. So, I won't do it again.    I'm hopeful he is using these early opportunities to get a feel for his knee in game situations and optimistic he has just been holding back because they were exhibitions and he didn't want to put too much onto it too early. This is why all serious future NBA prospects need to have injury insurance.
  19. JBJ was totally off in general the whole second game. It's hard to take much from his performances on a microlevel because of it. On a macrolevel it's disconcerting to see him have such a bad game against a weak opponent.
  20. The biggest problems I saw were lack of effort. Troy did not put enough effort into his defense especially. But, he was better last game, so it's hard for me to say this is a trend or it's just the team not taking their opponents seriously. Which, I think is a totally different problem, but people tend to disagree.
  21. It's an am radio program on 1450 WXVW who interview high school coaches. Primarily about players in Southern Indiana.   Available on soundcloud:   https://soundcloud.com/hoosierreport
  22. I wouldn't be surprised if that still made him the most accurate predictor. I think Bozich is like 40% right?
  23. Only in terms of sheer production.   They forgot to call "dibs" on being the capital.   Plus, we don't play Minnesota until like January. I will have forgotten I was quoting state industries by then and Michigan was pretty lame.
