  1. Those are some of the best questions yet. Things like OG v. Juwan are so hard to call. And the Yogi v. JBJ question? A struggle. I mean, if JBJ is scoring a lot, Yogi will facilitate his scoring and won't have more. If JBJ is having any trouble, Yogi will step up 3D and score more. It's a hard choice.
  2. Who is the "they" in that sentence?
  3. Even West Lafayette could be decent but-for the smell.
  4. If a version of a player you watched for a season and a version of a player you've watched for two exhibition games were side-by-side you'd pick the known quantity who later was drafted in the top of the draft and had a wildly successful rookie season?   How daring of you.
  5. It's already established they've been in contact about where they are going. If Davis were coming here, why would you doubt he were trying to recruit Mario? It's unlikely Mario is recruiting Davis to Miss State and Davis is not responding in kind.
  6. 6-of-13   But, 4-of-7 and only 2-of-6. So, which game is the real Max? How many of the makes/misses were on jumpers?
  7. Oh yeah. Totally forgot him. Will probably forget him again.
  8. TB only played 16 minutes (as did Max). I agree the minutes won't be split like that, I think it was both line-up experimentation (which is exactly what you want to see in these games) and TB was in the boot Monday morning, so I doubt they wanted to overwork him and risk injury/reinjury.
  9. Bielfeldt should never take a shot unless the shot selection is just too perfect to pass up or if he's scoring from the post. He is absolutely not here to score on jumpers. Maybe on another team, but he joined an elite shooting team and those elite shooters should be taking those shots.   I think a 3 guard lineup plays our strengths better. Yogi, JBJ, Troy, and Tommy are obvious. Rojo hasn't started I think primarily so he can relieve Yogi, but there has to be a better way of doing it. He should be the third starter as the all-around player who can do everything well. Max adds size and leadership, but isn't offensively at the right level. Hartman is another great all-around player like Rojo. He also plays very well coming off the bench, a lot like Will was a great 6th man but not a great starter. Except Hartman is a good starter, just better off the bench.    Hartman and Rojo sharing starting depending on matchups would work for me too. Even Max occasionally when size is going to change the game, but usually not. He needs to fall into his role, adding size sometimes, experience all the time. He should be giving TB advice from the bench when he isn't playing. OG and Juwan both are doing well. They're freshman and they play like freshman. They should get minutes where appropriate and take everything in while it's not. They'll develop into really nice players for the program, but we can't expect the moon from them right now.   Who didn't I cover? Oh yeah, Z3. If Z3 keeps missing threes then there is no reason for him to ever see the floor. His laser accuracy and ability to always catch and shoot without issue are what made him the second most efficient offensive player in the nation and a value to the team last year. He's still a huge liability on defense and doesn't add much else on offense. Maybe he just needs to find his rhythm and that's fine. But, if he can't find it then he can't play.
  10. 12 players? I didn't even remember Niego playing. Poor Priller. He is the only eligible player, scholarship or walk-on, who didn't see the floor.
  11. To add to the lineup discussion. Courtesy of The Assembly Call: 25 lineups (24 unique) and 12 players were used. The starters were the only group to play together more than once, finishing at -4 for the game. Just six combinations were used more than two minutes, while nine played less than one minute. Hartman and Johnson were both part of the top two lineups, which combined to go +13 in 5:08. In all, 10 lineups outscored Bellarmine, and at least one of Hartman or Johnson was in nine of those combinations.
  12. Wow. I thought they werent' getting much time but I'm surprised to learn how little exactly. Crean has really been testing out a lot of new line-ups in these two games.
  13. It's in everyone's best interest to decommit from Purdue.
  14. Z3 has looked terrible these first two games. His defense is still one of the worst on the team and he has not had the offensive performance to make up for it.
  15. Terrible layup by OG. His calves blinded him. But, he turned around to a great block.
  16. Yeah. Not dominant in the way we would have liked, but not a bad game. Tough one to learn much from.
  17. Yeah, but I can forgive those, especially in an exhibition game. He needs to practice that shot in real game situations. He's played slower than usual and much more aware.
  18. I think that's too harsh. Our defense hasn't been as good, but isn't as bad as last year. Our offense has had trouble scoring, they have one player who suddenly became unstoppable and has like what, 16 points in the half?
  19. I don't think Troy has looked bad all game right? Though, you're right he has been streaky in looking good. I don't think I've said "Dagnabit Troy" at all though.
  20. Troy makes a good lay-up. 68-51.   Nope. Suggs is unstoppable. 68-54/
  21. Bad free throw shooting by Troy.   66-49 4:47 left.
  22. I think that's it. I said it before the season, it didn't sound like he was on track in the way we wanted..
  23. He is listening to the actual radio.
  24. Rojo can't silence a home crowd guys. He can embiggen them.
