    I am very nervous about next season without Sudfeld. I just feel like Wilson hasn't planned for this at all. Our whole strategy for winning is having a relentless offense and without a QB as studly as Studfeld, I don't know how we're going to do that.

    Why? Even in context it doesn't really change the meaning. They aren't feeling pressure because no one expects anything from them. That they have each other to encourage them to win is very nice but it doesn't make the first part untrue.

    I feel bad for them too. But I can tell you what the crowd is thinking "I've seen this team play in the second half. We aren't going to win this. It's a 2 hour drive back home, let's get there before it's too late".   And they weren't wrong, so they aren't going to stop leaving.

    Honestly though, what is it going to take for this team to field even an average defense? Changing DCs doesn't seem to do it. Decades of recruiting hasn't seemed to do it. Is there like a literal curse?

    Yeah but at least we didn't broadcast obviously what we were going to do so they had plenty of opportunity to adjust.

    Yes. Indiana has drops and Iowa has catches. Good observation.   I think we'll probably look back on the game and say "Man, how many years is it going to take this team to develop a defense?"

    I have plenty of better whiskey. But, I like to take more drinks while watching games so I need a mixer. If I were drinking anything neat I would die.

    I do everything with a drop of bourbon.   I was using Bulleit for my mixing bourbon, but Wild Turkey 101 was on sale and it used to be my jam. I don't know. I love BLT's (Bulleit, Lemon, Tonic) and they're terrible with Wild Turkey.   Wild Turkey was my brand during our two Sweet Sixteen seasons though.
