  1. Vonleh is the starting power forward on a middle of the pack team in the West. He's not even on the bench much less the end.
  2. I just meant whomever said it, I didn't want people to think this kid is another Priller because they didn't read the article.
  3. Tall relative to you at least, he's listed at 6'4, so other than Yogi he's about the same size as the shortest scholarship players.
  4. Here are two articles confirming he did exist at some point.   http://thetimes24-7.com/main.asp?SectionID=2&SubSectionID=143&ArticleID=8307&TM=44001   http://www.thetowntalk.com/story/sports/preps/recruiting-central/2013/07/18/hoosier-basketball-magazine-top-100-list/2563547/   I like his name. It makes me sound like I have a lisp.
  5. Just so he remembers, we like our strength coaches to be neither seen nor heard around here! Sit on the bench and zip those lips.
  6. Without vigilance from us they fall by the wayside. All the bumping with no grinding!
  7. The downside of the games coming out early... Bump
  8. Well, his choice was extend him or fire him so...
  9. 47-25 at the half btw. Iowa owns MSU right now.
  10. Is that because the championship game wasn't a bowl game? Don't get me wrong, our game was great except how it ended, but still.
  11. That's a good point. When do invitations go out to the 63? Might the NBA expand the combine because they might have more attendees not going on to the draft? And does that matter?
  12. Marquette up a point on (6) Villanova at the half. At Villanova. 38-37
  13. 61-49 OSU now. Looks like they turned it aeound
  14. I get that. What I don't like is that it will encourage kids who otherwise wouldn't consider the draft to give it a shot and see how the combine and practice goes. I mean, no harm no foul right? And cause a strain on determining the make-up of each team. And further push the spring commits into the summer.   At least before they had to stop and think "Do I want to blow one of my two declarations just to meet with scouts?" now, they can get 90% of the way through the process first. It just does absolutely nothing to stem the tide of kids leaving early for the NBA and actually makes the problem worse. Like, does the NCAA seriously not see how much people hate the current system?
  15. Wow. That's a serious change.   So, essentially coaches with kids "leaving early" won't have any idea who is on their team until the end of May? That's... something.   And they can do it every year! Declare intentions, tryout, combine, get some good feedback, go back to your team and rinse and repeat until you hear the answer you want.
  16. They fell behind us on KenPom too. We are 21, they are 22.
  17. Minnesota's updated numbers after the loss last night:   [attachment=3198:3.PNG]
  18. I wonder how Tubby Smith is doing - 62 I wonder how Tom Crean is doing - 99
  19. If Iowa falls at MSU on Thursday we'll be alone at the top of the Big Ten.
  20. The team from the first half of the OSU game is a Final Four team. That's why this season has been so hard. This is the best team in the last 8 years in terms of potential and look how the season started.
  21. What's the rule in Indiana? They have to release the salary information but not the contract itself right? Oh I remember. Salaries are affirmatively added to a database and contracts are FOIL requests. Someone should put one in. Maybe Btown banners can break the story!
  22. Yeah, just added a few clarifying words for everyone. It got me too.
  23. I hadn't seen that. They deserve it. It reminds me of Ohio State in their ban year and the following year.
  24. When do the odds come out on a return trip next year for Clemson? I'd put money on it. They're going to be so nasty. They're returning pretty much the whole core of that offense and have some really good guys on the bench ready to step up for the people who will be leaving.    I think the playoff system is really going to highlight the lack of parity in college football. Alabama is the worst offender, but OSU comes in a close second. I wouldn't be surprised to see OSU, Alabama, and Clemson all in the playoffs next year. But, at least the Big Ten is going to be brutal enough that we could send any of OSU, MSU, or Michigan. Heck, Iowa likely has a good shot if they can pull it together again next year. The East will beat each other up so much the committee will "have to respect Iowa has fewer losses" or whatever excuse. Hopefully not.
  25. FADE THE BACKGROUND!   For it is the longest night! It is the longest time until College Football begins anew. May the playoffs carry you through these dark next few weeks, and then basketball of course, but lo, soon it will be April and we will be empty again. Trapped in the worst time of the year. The off-season.
