Adding Green will move our class rank up to 16, displacing PSU. -

If the freshman don't hit the wall and keep playing like this then it's a game changer. If JBJ getting hurt sparked this OG boost then people won't be wrong when they say it wasn't all bad. -
That would be great news for us. Maryland is such a weird team this year I'd believe it.

It's just not as simple as comparing points scored. I don't know how a group of fans who pride themselves on their basketball IQ get so bogged down in the box score. JBJ helps space the floor and occupy defenders. Teams can comfortably leave ROJO or Z3 more open than they left JBJ. This takes some of the offense away from everyone. The threat of JBJ getting hot is better for the team than Z3's defense. And let's not mince words, if Z3 and ROJO don't make their shots tomorrow we will lose. OSU is one of the best 2-point defensive teams in the nation and we have two of our 3-point shooters throwing air balls. -
Will the second one be more of a Freaky Friday body switch or a Space Jam talent drain?

Say more. Why do you have any reason to think that? And of course it matters why. You're either just saying vague things to irritate others or you're trying to have a conversation.

Ohio State ground one out against Northwestern tonight. Dat defense... this looks to be the biggest test so far this year on that end of the floor. We can't expect to get open looks or have opportunities to drive without being touched. And we don't win this game unless our offense is playing at their potential. We can't afford for Z3 or Troy to be cold either. Game preview.

So, cool. Are we going to have a play-by-play breakdown of every single defensive failure? Or just when someone says they played decently? If you don't think Troy played better defense than he usually plays during the second half, I don't know what to tell you. Despite his lack of offensive scoring, he had a decent game compared to every other upperclassman on the court. I'd love to hear how anyone thinks we would win these games without him. -

Nobody could buy a free throw this game. I can't hold it against any one player. Totally agree his offense was weak. -
They're pretty much the model of a football school who happen to have a really good basketball team because they're willing to throw money at their coaching staff. The fans will never love basketball like they love football, but sustained success gives them a good foundation and being one of the most valuable football teams in the NCAA gives them tons of money even when the basketball team is down.

Who do you start in his place and bring off the bench? Part of the problem is, he's a player who is better off the bench. His bad games started when he had to start. He's like Sheehey, stellar 6th man but a mediocre (at best) starter. Except this game of course, where it wouldn't. -

Troy had only 2 TOs with 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 points (on 4 shots). He needed to push his offense and score more, but he was otherwise doing pretty much everything we could ask of him, even defending decently. Most of it came in the second half with him being absent most of the first. Outside of the points, that's some "good Troy" basketball and it bugs me that we still are dogging him when he does well rather than recognize his successes. Yogi and RoJo were responsible for over half of our TOs. Heck OG and Troy had the same TO rate. -

Seriously. This and the FTs are driving me crazy because they're such inexplicable and dramatic drops from last year. If Z3 can't hit shots, he is a liability. His defense is very poor, and on top of that, he's taking shots away from people who might make them. Last night he took 35% of the 3s in the game, but only had 14% of our 3-point-baskets. We just can't have that. He needs to watch the tape from UNLV and revert back to whatever he did that game. -
This year we are underperforming pretty seriously for the talent we have. More than previous years. And recruiting has hit a solid wall. But, more than that, it's cumulative. The next mediocre season always looks worse than the one before. Because eventually (this year for sure) you know it's a trend you can't break. I wasn't a proponent of Crean last year, but I do support stability and Crean has totally lost even me. I'm just anxious this season to know how it ends and get this coaching thing figured out.

Great game between Kentucky and LSU. And by great, I mean Kentucky is losing.

I thought it could end when Bo Ryan left, but man I still hate those Badgers. -

Ugly. Low-Scoring. But we did it, and on foul shots! And that last shot? Wow.
