It's the last game over Christmas break right? People will come for sure, but there will be far fewer students than usual, so I don't think the Hall will be full. Plus, the crowd will skew much older (and therefore quieter and sit-downier). The OSU game's attendance will be a significant drop-off because half the crowd is out of town.

Oklahoma could have taken them if they'd distributed their points a little more evenly. Hieldt was unstoppable, but eventually he was the only one scoring and Kansas could pickup on him. I mean, in 60 minutes of play, their top 4 scorers scored: 46, 27, 14, 10. That's a huge differential. Then, if you lose say, the second highest scorer because of foul trouble, you can't makeup his production. Great game though, I look forward to seeing them play again and will probably acquire it to rewatch it more closely (when I don't feel the pressure from my wife because "Oh, I just want to watch one non-Indiana game on the big TV" became a three hour affair).

IUBB Pick'ems Game #16 vs. Wisconsin

Now this is a game that could use a "select all home" button. -
I was at the last game when we beat Wisco, great seats too. The atmosphere was incredible. The crowd was going out of their minds the last 10 minutes when we started to take the lead and it was completely electric. If we'd had any prospects there they would have committed on the spot. But of course, the game became more of a debate about rushing the court and less about the accomplishments of a team who had absolutely no business felling that Wisconsin team for the first time in however long (why is there no winsipedia for college basketball?). For the record, I did not rush the court, though I did calmly walk onto it after the teams had dispersed and be excited and take my avatar photo. I mean, easy court access after an exciting game? Sure beats waiting outside for my wife to pick me up.

All right guys, if we can't beat Wisco this year, we literally may never do it. Let's keep feeding the post and playing a little tighter on defense. I want OG to show them why Bo Ryan was so scared of him that Bo quit. I want everyone making sure TB gets his shot (and remains number 1 in the country in FG%. Yeah, number 1, and not one of those fake "well they've only taken 2 shots" number 1s). These next two games make me nervous even though they're at home. Though, less so today and more OSU. At least today the place will be full of people futilely hoping RMK is going to show up. OSU? Sleeper team without a good crowd? Oh well, we'll talk about that more then.

This is ridiculous and amazing and I never want it to end. My wife literally can't believe we're coming into hour three of watching the same game of basketball.

This OK v KU game is going to end in a tie.

The bad news there is the 80s were a long time ago, so we simply aren't going to get the type of kids who grew up living and breathing Indiana basketball anymore. Any education on what Indiana Basketball means is going to have to come after they're already here, and while that can be meaningful, you can't teach passion. I think Crean should certainly be telling them enough to avoid this kind of answer and Juwan should have done some research too. Wikipedia is free after all. But, when most of us picture kids who really were taught the meaning of Indiana, we're looking at a very small group of kids. Even the local commits (Gelon) grew up loving other teams and our local players are some of the main ones people complain about. We need to give them a reason to be passionate enough about Indiana basketball to push out whatever information is in the way and make it stick.

Rutgers got the short end of the stick more than any other school. I mean, I don't care because they don't belong here, but they are not coming back for a long time and will be a whipping boy in the East for the next decade at least.
-
They aren't terrible really, the good teams in the West are just down right now. Wisco, Northwestern, Nebraska, all have a chance to compete with Iowa and make the west stronger. The east just has the two most dominant teams (MSU and OSU). And that was all right until Michigan got Harbs and they are going to be another one. Splitting up MSU and OSU would be good. If we can bring our program up, then there is only one real loser school and someone has to take them (Rutgers). All that having been said... I think a minor shift is likely if they can find an excuse in the next couple years. Next year and the year after at least, there's a good chance MSU, OSU, and Michigan will be top 10 schools. You have to split them up so the conference championship becomes more meaningful.

Tons of OSU departures. And they're so super deep and designed as a "reload" team I think they're still a playoff team next year. -

Let's not pretend this play isn't in that giant playbook. -

But he never will, because letting anyone take the ball up is part of the Crean Offense's strategy to speed up play and catch defenses off guard. Troy would be better if he could stop that and they could run actual offensive plays instead, but it's just not part of the offense. -

Or for Adams to go down. Or for Brenner to be THE WORST CENTER IN HISTORY. -

It's got to be what, 1.25 hours? Less? I'm not sure the route they have to take for the wind right there. Less on the way back I'm sure. -

Also, oh my gosh guys. You literally get to choose the match-ups when you set the bowls. Who was in charge of that? No one of a similar skill level could pair off? -

You could watch a million games and only ever see that once. This game is really strange. The injury to Adams was a big shift. This fumble to touchdown certainly didn't help Oregon. I still don't think TCU is going to win. -

I locked the other thread without clearing it with any other mods or talking to anyone to drive the post-game discussion into the post-game thread. We always end up with the same conversations happening twice when we stay split and this is how I've seen other forums handle that. -
