Archie really needs to bring in a quality PG. Rob can't do it all by himself for 4 years and we're handicapped when he's out.

IMO, until we have solid contributors spread across the classes we just won't be there. Of course, getting a Zion type player or two can change that, but right now the recruiting emphasis (primarily Indiana) probably doesn't lend itself to that. I'm perfectly content with what Archie and the staff are doing and where things are headed. I want to see us continue to build and get better but I don't think the game plan we're following is one of the quick-fix type - more of the long term, sustained success mode. There's also a huge, often ignored factor: luck. An injury here, early defection there and a team's fortunes can be set back overnight (and also those of other contending opponents).

Since the topic of RMK was brought up, I heard something a short time ago (not in the context of basketball or RMK) that some historical figure made a comment about rape very similar to what Knight said to Connie Chung. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable about world history can confirm this, but it would totally explain why RMK would have made that comment with his interest in history (especially military history). That's all I have, continue on.

Thankfully, the poor officiating was only an minor inconvenience in this game, but am I (and the entire crowd, and coaching staff) missing something on that uncalled over and back? Not only was it obvious that one player touched the pass in the frontcourt, but I wondered if that was a reviewable call. Also, the foot out of bounds call on Anderson was bad, but after re-watching it was closer than I initially thought. Overall, it was a pretty decent performance - hard to judge from the quality of the opponent. Morgan is simply a complete basketball player - and there are very few of those around. I'm glad Archie is recruiting the hell out of Indiana, but he needs to keep in mind that his best player on this roster was from out of state. Finally, one thing I'd really like to see us improve upon is shot selection. It seems like everybody has the green light all of the time.

You can see the potential in those two. I can see them both being solid contributors in the future.
