Appreciate that the OP included the tip-off time and broadcast network in the title of the thread.

In the unlikely event the NCAA actually brings it down on UL, would Jurich be part of it? i.e. can an AD or ex-AD get a "show cause" penalty. I have to say that before the revelations that led to Jurich & Pitino's exit, I saw Jurich as the model of the kind of AD I wished we had. I don't see any way he'd get consideration for the job.

I definitely think the high awareness of concussions (and resulting precautionary responses) is a significant factor. Plus, we've seen two to RP and neither appeared to be significant or violent collisions. Maybe some players are concussion prone, or because they say after getting one, subsequent ones happen easier (maybe he had one before coming to IU ?).

He really is an intelligent and well-spoken young man.. Trayce is pretty sharp too, for an 18 year old freshman.

I guess if you're only able to play 3 or 4 good minutes of baketball out of 40+, might as well do it in overtime....

I'm glad somebody else notices this. Two years ago it was a group of students inventing games for kindergarteners. Last year it was some "husky gal" doing some random charity work in Africa. Aren't we spposed to also be a research school?

We'll know in about 30 minutes...

Anderson was asleep during his short stint but Hunter was active. Ah, Jerome in the game now.

The infamous "cone of shame". Tell him to get well soon!

And have shown no urgency to get some shooters through any or all means available.

Don't want to see their Jerk-off squad (bench mob) antics tonight. Put 'em away early and nip that crap in the bud!

IUBB vs UConn Game Thread 12/10 @ 9:00 pm ESPN

I had to wonder if there is an ice rink under the floor (not uncommon in multi-use arenas). Whatever the reason, it was an injury risk. Thankfully no one did get hurt. -

Positives: - After playing poorly and trailing for most of the first half, we took the lead before halftime. Lost the lead and trailed by a few points in the second, but again came back and built a 2 or 3 possession lead and didn't give it up. Regardless of how our opponent played, that's not something we would have done in the last couple of seasons. - Brunk's redemption was critical, but I liked the attitude he brought with it. He was playing with emotion in the second half like we've rarely seen recently. - If this was the "bad" half of good/bad Devonte, it's far less destructive than prior seasons. I think he is just an inconsistent type of player. I'd much prefer consistency, but he didn't kill us last night by any means. As long as he has the occasional FSU type games, I'll take it. - Damezi is coming along. Kind of a work in progress but he's definitely a contributor. - Hunter is looking more fluid and comfotable out there. He's still ramping up his game. I'm looking for the break out game - once he gets his confidence he can begin to realize his potential. - Overall the entire team seemed confident and cohesive, even with the poor play. - Our freshmen are contributing and that's big. Both have adjustments to make but should continue to improve as the season progresses. -

I agree, fully, with everything in this post. I will add this: When Archie was first hired and introduced to the fans/media, if he had said it might take 3 or 4 seasons before we get in the tournament, EVERY SINGLE ONE of us would have lost our minds. Making the tournament (no huge accomplishment for a basketball school, IMO) by season 3 is a completely reasonable expectation. (I still think CAM is a knowledgeable and very good coach)

I don't believe any (maybe a small minority) have believed at any point in this young season that we were going to win the BT or go to S16. I think we just saw a team that seemed on the right track and was capable of playing with anyone. Then we play on the road against a team that has not been overly impressive and we felt a level of optimism, only to see blowout loss. After enduring multiple disappointing seasons, those wounds aren't healed and forgotten so it hit many of us hard. We know road wins in the BT don't come easy. We know the Kohl center is a difficult place for visiting teams (for several reasons). We now know (and the staff and team should have already known) that playing your first true road game in December against a conference opponent was at best a risky proposition. One thing I know from watching for decades is that a team that can't win on the road, isn't a good team. Minnesota used to be world beaters at home but patsies on the road. Obviously, staying at home exclusively won't do anything to prepare a team for life on the road. Where we go from here is a mystery at this point. I certainly have no answers or predictions other than thus far we look to be a pretty good team at SSAH.

Definitely the best 'D' I've seen from him. Last year he was like a bull in a china shop, but seems to be playing much more under control. When his shot starts falling reliably, he'll be powerful weapon. -

Smith was outstanding as far as getting on guys when something when wrong and patting them on the back when something went right. He's looking like a completely different player. A very good player. -

I'm sure they're attributing the win to getting all the calls, lol.
