  1. Darian Mensah to the portal. It's expected Miami will buyout his NIL deal with Duke in addition to providing Mensah with a new deal. Rumored to cost the U around 10 mil between both of these transactions.
  2. ESPN ****s up a lot of product, but this is an excellent move.
  3. Big thanks to the Colts and Cowboys for giving us picks for players we weren't utilizing well. And since this is a college football thread (and I don't want to derail), I suspect we will select someone like Carson Beck or an equivalent.
  4. Mixed response from Wisky fans. Some say he could potentially work at tackle, some say he took reps at OT and looked bad in practice. Assuming Ajani takes another step forward, it would be great to keep Brunner on the interior.
  5. As a Jets fan, we will have a top 5 pick again next year. Dread it. Run from it. Jets incompetence still arrives.
  6. Probably preseason #1 team now, but this is a big risk by Moore.
  7. Exactly what I thought. SC makes most sense. Florida would probably be better equipped to compete in the ACC even if the thought is weird. Miss State just looking to grab more wins?
  8. Apparently Bama was ready to move on and their NIL offer to him showed that. Bama wants to go with their younger guy.
  9. Early weather reports show next Monday with high of 71 degrees, low of 56. Only 2% chance of rain. Still lot of time so things can change but this would be great if it holds.
  10. Saw a photoshopped Bob Odenkirk in IU gear and it was uncanny.
  11. Beautiful news. Ferrell, Zachman, and Sanks are going to frustrate offenses.
  12. Sucks for depth, especially losing Boyd who I was high on. However, could this be pointing toward Ferrell returning for his senior season?
  13. Jah Jah Boyd has already been removed from the IU athletic site roster. I assume this means he will not travel to Miami.
  14. Ajani at RT would be the next logical step, I think. Some others have mentioned reaching out to several OT (Mikey Bennett from Yale). Some chatter about a big NIL deal for Smith to return, but he is skyrocketing up draft boards so idk if that holds.
  15. Oh I agree Cig wants 4. I was more speaking on the players not being satisfied and looking elsewhere if they are 3 or 4 on the depth chart.
  16. Long would have been excellent at the Mike. We may still try to bring in someone, but doesn't appear to be incredibly high priority. I read this as Isaiah Jones filling the Mike role with Hardy playing the Will. If we bring in any LB, this could obviously be shifted around. We could use a little extra LB depth. If not, I could see us running more base nickel as our secondary depth is getting stacked in the portal. As far as Center, availability in the portal for the position is low. If Leibfried is ready, he can step into the role. If not, we appear to be solid with Guard Joe Brunner from Wisconsin. Bray Lynch slides to Center, and Evans and Brunner start at Guard.
  17. 16.8 ypc is no joke. Cig and Shanahan clearly think we need another vertical threat, which I agree with. Before Becker came on, we didn't really have that burner that could take the top off a defense. Next year passing game might be more home run swings than methodical back shoulder throws. I am continually impressed by the staff's ability to structure an offense around player strengths.
  18. We are going to be deep at WR. Like you, I see Shazz as the Y in our 3 wide sets but he could be versatile enough to set at Z depending on matchup and health.
  19. I interpreted it as the CB from Montana St
  20. Any idea where the attrition in the RB room will come from?
  21. I admit to only watching 2 or 3 Texas games this year so I'm not an expert, but Longhorn message boards seem to imply he lost north-south burst that made him such a desired prospect in the first place.
  22. Certainly helps, and if the staff wants him then I am optimistic. If we land him, I imagine that means someone will be moving on, as 6 would be a lot for a RB room. Beebe, Martin, or (less likely) Cuono will see the writing on the wall.
  23. I feel like it depends on CJ's health. His injury robbed him of a lot of his explosiveness. Still a very good back, and if he fully recovers could be RB1. But going off what I hear from Texas fans who watched him, he was clearly not the same player post-injury.
  24. This is the best interview Nando has given. Props to him but also to SVP asking questions that get him to answer outside his norm.
