Huge overpay. But they landed one of the best QBs in the portal, and it will be interesting to watch. Either UK has increased their football commitment from rev-share (last rumor I heard was roughly 50% went to basketball) and NIL, or Sam might not have a hell of a lot of help.

While I would be ecstatic to get Perich, he would most likely be most of our budget at safety. Even then, it would be a big swing and a miss could lose us other prospects. Zachman + Awls is very possible and would be a great S haul.

I 100% would be in favor of a 5-for-5 eligibility model. No more redshirts, no medical exceptions. Give everyone 5 and be done with it. Call year 5 "Grad year" or something. But while these current **** rules exist, we are going to play within them. Hell, Louis Moore is on year 7 this year, and many fans I have encountered have some "yeah..but" excuses when confronting this fact. Always good to hear a perspective like yours that can acknowledge staff competence but not be hypocritical about it.

As a longtime IU fan, like yall seeing decades of suffering, its so difficult to comprehend the team we are watching now. I am so proud of and continue to be impressed with the preparation of this team. Best team in IUFB history. Watching a defense smother a team is absolutely joyous. HOO HOO HOO
