  1. Agree, ship has sailed on Dusty. Sucks but we have options. Brad Stevens ( I know i know but he apparently would consider coaching again now that he won a title with Boston) Bruce Pearl ( too old? Maybe but has fire. If he wins a title at Auburn this year he would be a lifer there) Ben McCollum ( maybe the best realistic option, young basketball savant, does he have the desire to be at a basketball crazy U? I'm guessing he would listen) Assuming Dusty is a no go, this is my order of calls.
  2. Im going out on a limb and say we hear word of a "retirement" before the season ends.
  3. From what I can gather from PSU message boards, maybe the fit wasn't great. Tom did well, but he did not mesh with James Franklin. On the other hand, his attitude and religious beliefs seem like a perfect fit with Dabo.
  4. Absolutely no movement on offense. It's maddening
  5. I know it doesn't count now but holy hell Kaytron Allen with the beast mode run.
  6. Agree. Next game will be tough, but at least Boise St is making this one worth watching.
  7. Was hoping Boise could make it a game. This Penn St team feels different than previous big game choke artists. They are damn good.
  8. The UM defense is freakish and deep. I know next year's schedule is more difficult but I'm glad we will skip them.
  9. Points vs Michigan Indiana: 20 Alabama: 13 Ohio St: 10
  10. He had 11/9/4 in the Christmas day game as well. TJD had worked his game immensely and is a solid starting C.
  11. Stephen A., Skip Bayless, Cowherd, etc. I know it makes me sound old, but I do miss the days when ESPN commentary had substance. But I guess that is not what sells.
  12. The thing is I'm not sure Finebaum even believes what he says. He may have at some point, but now he takes advantage of a low IQ but passionate fanbase that will parrot whatever he says. To be honest, it's probably a good business model for him, but it is just rage bait for the opposition and he gets clicks from it.
  13. https://x.com/jieunbean/status/1871738723387552102 Anyone have a K-pop crossover on their IUFB bingo card? Edit: For the unaware the singer goes by the stage name IU.
  14. Yep. More top 25 games so more chances to prove it or get smacked.
  15. Next year will be a real test. @ Oregon and @Penn St plus Illinois at home will be real challenges . Iowa on the road is never easy. We will have to earn it.
  16. Yep. Rare L in the coaching dept for Cig.
  17. Ball game. Fun season folks.
  18. Moronic. Outclassed in every aspect.
  19. These 2 make me proud to be an IU alumnus. They saw something when there was nothing, and being a lifelong IUFB fan through decades of struggle I can identify with that. There may be numerous successful seasons under Cignetti, but the 2024 team will always have a special spot for the belief they could accomplish what no previous squad could.
  20. Really sucks. We have high hopes for Jakai and I have faith he still finds meaningful minutes. Hate it for the dude.
  21. “Everybody wants to be a bodybuilder, but nobody wants to lift no heavy-@$$ weights.” The great philosophy of Ronnie Coleman can be applied to many walks of life.
  22. I agree with this. We will not get the respect that the name-brand schools will get. I wouldn't mind scheduling a little tougher, but you are right. We would be out if we lost one more, regardless of the schedule. And while I'm not defending Bama by any means (as I think the SEC honks are whiners beyond belief), they do have 2 P4 teams on the schedule every year from 2025-2034. I wouldn't be mad if we scheduled a Stanford or Arizona or someone along those lines to a home and home for 2026 and 2029 as those are the coming years we have an OOC P4 gap.
  23. Yeah as bad as it is, the free for all payment system is the only way we can compete close to even. Let's pay these lads. F the salary cap
