  1. Absolutely. If he comes back and has the type of year we're expecting then he'll be a top 5 pick in next year's draft, and he'll likely leave with his degree as well. I think it'll come down to whether he thinks that's worth the risk of another injury.
  2. If I was OG I'd take the money and run. I really want him back, but I wouldn't take the risk of a career ruining injury to play for free if I was him.
  3. Oh I was the same exact way. I grew up about 2 and a half hours north of Bloomington, but I went to a super small school and no one else from my class came to IU so it was like a whole new world for me. I think sometimes we (myself included) think we have to get x, y, z players because they're from Indiana, but there will always be guys we never really had a chance with because they want to get away.
  4. I think that's something people look past sometimes. I've always wondered if I would've still went to IU had I grown up in Bloomington or nearby. Part of the cool thing for me about going to college was getting away from my hometown and being in a new environment and I think some players think like that too.
  5. Yuuuuge. We should have great depth and experience next year.
  6. We have the chance to be really good next year, which will really help us in recruiting too. Good times are ahead y'all.
  7. Woah you weren't kidding about him trying to sound like Dakich. So weird.
  8. I know we all wondered during the season if there was some kind of locker room drama that was affecting their performance, but they all seem to enjoy being around each other. With every day that goes by it becomes more and more obvious that Crean was the problem imo.
  9. The only way it would make sense to me would be if he's not capable of playing at this level anymore after his injury. If he's healthy I don't understand his decision at all. He can go and get a job whenever he wants. This is his last chance to play ball.
  10. He's gone soft on us.
  11. I believe that an NBA team contacted Crean last year about as much as I believe that Billy was in Bloomington last Friday.
  12. He did reach out to Crean, but Crean refused to meet with him. Now he's not Fred's problem so I see no reason why he would reach out to him.
  13. "You earn the right to have your name go with your number." I never thought of it like that, but I like it.
  14. Any recap? I don't care to listen to either of them talk, but I still wanna know what was said lol.
  15. Pshh like Bobby needed alcohol to do that.
  16. *insert quote about playing for the name on the front of the jersey, not on the back.* I don't feel strongly one way or the other. If we're going to change anything about the jerseys though I'd like us to ditch adidas, but that's a topic for another day.
  17. I don't think it's really an 'either or' type of situation. I don't see him getting Big Pritch on board and then not looking for any other Indiana guys to add to his staff. He very well could bring in someone like Guyton in addition to Pritchard. I think this would be more of him trying to fill the end of his coaching staff with a guy who played here and has a little exposure to the high school scene in Indiana.
  18. Jv coaches aren't exactly breaking the bank. Idk what else he does career wise but if he wants a coaching career I don't think it would take much to bring him here. Let him get his feet wet in the college ranks without putting him in charge of much. It seems like a pretty low risk to me.
  19. Look for Archie to hang that up for the players to see every time they go to the locker room this offseason.
  20. Pretty decent list of offers. Any highlights out there?
  21. To add fuel to the Collin fire he's following Archie on Instagram, and in his story in Cook Hall he used [emoji102] too. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  22. I think a lot of them were thinking about transferring after the season because they were ready for a new start. Now that we have Archie they get that without having to leave their teammates and friends and without having to sit out a year (for the kids who aren't graduating). I think they have faith in Archie and it seems like a lot of them are already putting in work in Cook Hall. Maybe it's just a coincidence, but after we heard Archie say they need to be in there 24/7 we've seen them there all hours of the day.
  23. That's what it seems like to me too. He was a 5'9 PG in the ACC. He knows what it takes so when he talks the players know he's not blowing smoke. Crean can study analytics and break down film all day long but there are some things he just won't get because he wasn't a player. His Instagram story.
