  1. IDK, Ohio State would give him a lot of early minutes.
  2. I love the idea of redshirting Phinisee if we get Garland, especially because it's something so foreign to us the past few 8 years. That would be about the best-case scenario especially if Green continues to show promise. You'd have to think we'd be plenty deep at the PG spot with a junior Green and freshman Garland if we get the latter.
  3. Sorry if already asked, but any idea what his timetable is now that his visits are all wrapped up? Do you think he'll narrow it down this week and commit/sign in the fall, or is that still up in the air?
  4. The thing about Eric Gordon is that even as a high school freshman, you pretty much knew he was going to eventually be a McDonald's All American. With Romeo, you knew he was going to be good but not this good.
  5. The only time rankings don't matter is when we're not getting the highly-ranked kids. Because then the only thing that matters is heart and hustle. When we do get the top 10 guys, then rankings matter. Or something like that.
  6. Yep, the fact is if you're a 5* basketball player, you're going to love a trip to see Kansas University regardless if you're serious about going there or not. They definitely have a lot going for them, tons of amenities, girls, etc. that top-ranked players are fond of. I hope he loves it, they ramp up their pursuit of Romeo even more, but still chooses us over them.
  7. I just can't see UCLA making a legitimate push for Garland here. Let's just hope it doesn't make him forget how great of a visit he had last weekend.
  8. That kid is not that good at all. Can't shoot, very overrated. I hope he goes to Purdue.
  9. Ha I saw that too. Kind of surprised the mod posted that on IU's site, but everything is starting to add up now.
  10. Bro don't hit us with that then just leave! Come on...............
  11. Well check out Meyer's twitter, he's definitely sure of this one. It could be happening.
  12. I have to be dreaming. No way this is real.
  13. Well if we get word that Vandy has offered another 2018 PG, all bets are off.
  14. With Meyer switching his Garland pick to IU too, something is definitely brewing. Meyer is 100% with his picks, granted some of them are last-minute selections, but still.
  15. Maybe Jerry Meyer switched it to Indiana just so he can switch it back to Kansas to really get under our skin.
  16. Well something has to be up now for Jerry Meyer to switch his Crystal Ball pick from Kansas to Indiana a mere 2 days before Romeo's scheduled official visit to Kansas. Hopefully he has some concrete information.
  17. I think it's a matter of time before more crystal ball predictions start rolling in for IU here. When that happens, I'll be fully torqued for however long before he commits.
  18. Doesn't he visit UCLA this weekend? Are you saying he could possibly decide before the visit and just not go public with it?
  19. Hopefully these aren't just positive vibes and temporary highs that come from an official visit, which will just die down as the dust settles. Regardless, have to feel good about the position we're in with Langford and Garland after this weekend. Archie has done a great job in a very short period of time.
  20. New Albany would sell out every game they play, home and away. If they don't already.
  21. I'll bet Vanderbilt is anxiously waiting out this weekend. They did not want this visit to happen.
  22. Got dammit. Is anyone else hearing Garland may not even make it to the IU visit? Sounds like he may pop to Vandy any day now per another board.
  23. Yep this is what happened. He was actually top-10 at one point according to Rivals with offers from most of the big boys, but his play kind of fell off and he dropped in the rankings. We were really the only bigger school to not back off. I even remember reading the articles written after his commitment saying he chose us over offers from UNC and UK when in fact, that wasn't really true. More like a half truth.
