Yogi Ferrell - "I want a national championship"
rebelhoosier848891 replied to Magnanimous's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
And--Yogi has been added to the Oscar Robertson Trophy Watch List. Good to see him getting Conference and National recognition for playing TEAM ball. Keep it up Yogi. Just lead us! -
(2016) PF De'Ron Davis to IU

TB, Davis, OG, Morgan, and Hartman---manning the front line sounds great to me! I think TB will stay and I would love to have two 6'11 kids to play on the inside next year. Can you even imagine if Thon would also join the mix? Yes--that's right Purdue--we're coming for you again! -
Love it! Balance is restored to the basketball universe! Now---let's stay there! (Or Higher!)

Game Day Hoosiers! Fire Up! We've seen the facts---we have not won at the Kohl Center since 1998. They have beaten us there 13 times in a row. The last time we won there Yogi was 4 years old and Bryant was 5 months old. But --Bo Ryan is gone. It's time to break the curse and the string. No Mercy---we're after that Big Ten Title!

If college basketball programs were countries
rebelhoosier848891 replied to Magnanimous's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Well done Medema! I did not know Crown Price Crean had a twin! The hunt is on! We trapped enough badgers last game for a new fur coat for Queen O. This time we will share the spoils of war with our villagers as the long, snowy winter has left them cold and hungry. Badger furs all around for new coats! And Barbecued Badger for our celebratory picnic! Not quite as good as Buffalo Wild Wings but it will do in a pinch! And of course---French Fries for our victorious knights! Viva La Francais! Viva La IU! -
My problem is not with McIntosh. I am so disgusted that Albers called Priller out on twitter as being one of the worst D1 basketball players in the country. What a classless thing to do. I hope papers like the Indy Star will quit publishing his trash. I love the enthusiasm Priller brings to the Hoosiers and I---for one---am glad he's a Hoosier! Not everybody can be a starter or a star. Every team has to have players that will bust their butts in practice and lift up their teammates in the games. By the way, Priller is working hard to get better. In limited minutes--Priller usually finds a way to get on the stat sheet whether it's a rebound or a steal or a bucket. And--I have to admit that near the end of every game I look forward to Priller-Time ---and watching what he will do next! I say---Keep Priller ---Fire Albers!

IU/Francaislanders---we are entering the critter and varmint section of our schedule----next up badgers and gophers. Goal: Total eradication! Oui Are IU! -
I like McIntosh but Albers is way out of bounds on this. He is trying to make an issue out of a non-issue to make a name for himself. Well I have a name for him---INSTIGATOR. Me thinks he protests too much! McIntosh is Northwestern's leading scorer---of course the student section is going to be all over him. That's just a fact of life. It was not just because he is an Indiana kid. That's the way it has always been in The Hall---and at every big time program in the country. What irritates me more than the McIntosh issue is how Albers threw Tim Priller under the bus. He tweeted that we boo McIntosh, an Indiana kid, but cheer Priller who is one of the worst D-1 players in the country. Now that really ticks me off. Priller busts his butt every day in practice for our team and we remember when he committed the stories about how much of an IU fan him and his family have always been. Bottom line---that was a CHEAPSHOT! You don't have to be from Indiana to be a diehard IU fan! Albers--this is BIG-TIME college basketball. Too bad you're a SMALL-TIME journalist who likes to make nothing into something. And-bringing Priller into your argument shows just how immature you really are. Sometimes I can't stand Dan Dakich, but at least his positions are backed by some facts. Albers--you are no Dan Dakich! Albers you are showing your true colors--Black and Gold. Go write for one of the Purdue sites---you'll fit right in there!

Let's see---Purdue (aka Little Brother) and The New England Patriots (aka Cheaters) both lose today! What a good day!
-
Yep--either Maryland and MSU should not be that high--- or we should be up there too! Let's just keep winning and eventually they will have to put us back up there. We should be top 20 this week!

Thanks for the update Queen O. I hope this doesn't mean more surgery will be in his future. I wish King Zeller would get healthy as it is holding back his step up to the next level in the NBA. -
Right now---I have to go Iowa, Indiana, Maryland, Purdue. End of year--I am going IU, Iowa, Maryland, MSU Purdue and Michigan will be 5 and 6. I am just so glad we get to talk about IU potentially being top 4 in the Big!

I'm speechless ---Medema. You definitely captured the moment. Crown Prince Crean of the Jungle reins triumphant! -
Good to see MSU hang on and give Maryland it's second Big Ten loss. But come on MSU---lose the Human Highlighter Uniforms! Now let's see if Purdue can get revenge at Carver Hawkeye and give Iowa their first loss. I have to admit I will be fine with whoever wins that one!
-
Glad to see MSU leading over Maryland so far in 2nd half! But those uniforms look like yellow highlighters---yuck!

I agree Ola Depot. Right now the Hoosiers are doing what they need to be doing.... Or in the immortal words of B.T.O. (Bachman Turner Overdrive for you youngsters)---We've been..... Takin' Care of Business! -

This is just fun. Great offense and good defense---a recipe for continued success. Let the commentators continue to underrate us----I like the underdog role. One shout-out today to Juwan Morgan----7 points and 2 rebounds and an assist in ONLY 6 MINUTES. Our freshmen continue to impress--but we have not always given Morgan his due. I have heard he was battling an injury but he is solid in his own right. He shot a 3 and had a great spin move to name a few plays in limited minutes. Keep on rollin' Hoosiers! -
Indiana basketball serves rabid fanbase

Good find---we are a 'rabid" fanbase. That's not to say we have "rabies" but we do drool a lot and foam at the mouth when it's game time! -

Well done IU/Francaisland warriors! The spay and neutering program was a huge success. There was not much fight left in those Northwestern kitties today. Next up---North to Wisconsin. The badger traps worked well last time but we have modified them to make them even better. We've made them mobile and portable. We are on a roll----the peasants are dancing in the streets and the pubs are doing banner business. Queen O and King Z are happy. Let's keep it that way! Viva La Francais! Viva La IU! -
Victory! 12 in a row---7-0 in Big Ten! Go Hoosiers!
-
Agree---get the starters out. No need to risk injury in a blow-out.
-
I am surprised we are doing this to NW---they have some good wins and good players and are getting healthy again. This is a nice win. I hope we can keep them in the 50's---that's playing some D!
