We've talked a lot about the new head coach---what about new assistants? I would love to see some IU alums---like Fife, Cheaney ,Smart, or even Bailey and keeping Elston etc. Thoughts?

Disappointed but not surprised. Priller was the highlight for me tonight---hustle and heart. I am waiting on the administration to make the inevitable announcement.

There is NEVER a bad time to beat Purdue. A few more wins should not make a difference at this point. Crean has had plenty of time to show us his COMPLETE body of work and the die should be cast. He is a good guy and gave it his best shot but he is not the one to take us back to greatness. The administration knows it and if they don't make a change after this season they weren't going to really make one anyway. By not openly coming out in support of Crean---imo the administration is telegraphing to everyone that Crean is done. No reason we can't both root for the team AND a new coach. I want Stevens, Donovan, Wright, Miller, or Fife---in that order of preference. Go Hoosiers---Beat The Boilers!

Maybe I am reading too much into his comments---but I thought Crean's comments about this being his family's senior night was almost like he was saying goodbye. At first I thought ---why is he talking so much about his family on senior night? That's when the above thought hit me. I come here tonight with mixed emotions. I am ready for a coaching change but I don't hate Crean and I celebrate the MANY good things he has done for our program. Although Crean has shown us he is NOT the one to lead us all the way back---he is also not deserving of all the hatred, contempt, and ridicule he gets on this board and elsewhere. And frankly---I am disappointed with many of the posters on this board. I never thought I would see the day that OUR posters would be openly hoping our team would lose just to speed up a coaching change. That crosses a line for this old school poster. I have never rooted against my Hoosiers and I never will. That is just not in my DNA. If anyone on this board would seriously root for us to lose against anyone and especially our next game against Purdue--then you are not a true Hoosier in my book. I personally hope we go up to Mackey and torch them by about 20 points. Just trying to maintain some semblance of reason and balance on the board.

Glad we finally got a win----good to see a close one go our way for a change. Congrats to Colin---Glad she said yes---and hope we see him back next year!

This is a great thread and a great rumor---but I am so beat down at this point that I have to see it to believe it. I am not going to get my hopes up too high but Donovan would be a HOMERUN hire. We need something like this to bring us all the way back and unite our fan base again. Praying it is true.

If we can't get a big name/homerun hire---like Stevens or Donovan----Fife suits me fine as he is IU FAMILY and a rising star....we need change and hope again and I like the idea of going with defense first for a change..

Game day! Fire up Hoosiers---we need this one.

Yet another tough loss----hello NIT. I still can't believe we don't have special plays or sets we can run to get Blackmon a shot in late game situations. He is one of the best shooters in the country and we do nothing to use his talent in key situations. TB ---loved you in the post. That is all---Good (I mean bad) night....

We won the first half------let's get the second one too. We need this.
