Great game--defensive slugfest--back and forth--last one with ball may win. I would personally love to see South Carolina pull it out. I am in the ABK camp--Anybody But Kentucky. Can't stand UNC either so it would make my day to see South Carolina or the Zags cut down the net this year.

Look under the carpeting. The UNC investigation got swept under the rug just like the Duke investigation of old. You admit wrongdoing and you get hammered (See IU). You deny--deny--deny and delay--delay--delay and you get away with it if you are a blueblood with a well-liked coach. Some programs are virtually untouchable or "too big to fail". Sad but true.

And Kansas goes down! Just please don't let Kentucky win this thing...their fanbase is arrogant enough already.

I get tickled at all the posters on here that got the coach of their choice criticizing those of us who did not---we have a right to work through our disappointment and it doesn't mean we are somehow lesser fans or less intelligent. Don't attack us older Hoosiers who have actually seen IU have a great and proven coach who rarely lost at home and won national championships. We just want you younger Hoosiers to get to experience what we did which is why many of us wanted the proven and homerun hire. I want that for my kids who are at IU now and I want to experience that again for myself. Let me tell you it is an awesome feeling. Most of us agree Archie is a good coach but he is not yet proven and he is a risk whether people want to admit it or not. With all that being said, we don't know what happened in the search process. We have to face the fact that Archie might have been the best available option. Now that he has been selected we should do what Hoosiers have always done and rally around him with 100 percent support. I know I will and I am excited about the future. I will give Archie a chance to grow into the homerun hire we all want him to be. Just be sure to respect all view points because yours will not always be in the majority. After the initial shock and honestly some disappointment--I have dug into some info on Miller and I am warming up to the hire. High offensive output like Crean but much more emphasis on defense. I think Alber and others had us believing it was Donovan and it takes a while for that to wear off. We almost all agreed it was time to give someone new a chance after Crean and a Miller hire would have been much more popular before all the Donavan hysteria started. Someone good with tech can go to the Dayton Flyer site and look under news from last November and find their 3 man recruiting class which contains a true point guard, a 7 foot center, and a shooting guard. The 6'4 " shooting guard is Jordan Davis from Irmo South Carolina--the center is Jordan Pierce of Scotch Pine , New Jersey--he is a Hoss-7 foot 255 pounds-- and the true point is McKinley Wright of Champlin Minnesota--6 ft. Dig in Hoosier Nation--I don't know much about their rankings but Miller is known as a good recruiter. Let's see what we can find out because they may follow him to IU! Being completely honest, I have to say I am disappointed--I wanted someone already proven. This is not a homerun hire--it is a strong double. I hope it turns into a homerun hire in time. I guess the others said no. This hire does not scream "IU is back"! It screams that we are taking a chance again on another up and comer. This hire does not invoke fear in our rivals and many are probably actually relieved we could not pull a Donovan or a Stevens or a Bennett. Agree. Donovan has been hedging his statements and I continue to believe he is coming. If he or Stevens do not--I am fine with Bennett.
