Guys - this isn't fools gold anymore. This team is flexing. Crean is backing off practices? Deep rotation, adjustments, post feeding, straight up man defense. He's more calm. I gotta give it to the dude. He is doing EXACTLY what we wanted. All that us left is the deep run. I did think that was a horrible move by Crean to match up with Illinois guards instead of just going big on them with Max/TB or OG to start.. granted, Niego played great in his role. However, adjustments were made and we looked specifically for the post feed over and over. I'll hold off a bit but Tom Crean has his guys balling right now. And Yogi just BULLIED Kendrick Nunn. Haha, good post. I was a tulip believer at one point other than struggling with Limited Atonement. It's just unbiblical from a base perspective but I can also see the field from a standpoint of predestination and fulfillment of plans. For Rojo, sounding like a super bad sprain. Colin...hartman... I think he is injury free finally. His shot coming back around is absolutely a knife in the other teams back. And OG, Morgan and a little niego sprinkled in can be absolutely huge for fresh competent legs down the stretch. I'm so jealous of watching other teams run a few sets of screens for their shooters. I saw a play from state where they set 4 off ball wrap screens.. in a row. If anything, it was wearing our players down which HAS to pay dividends later in the game. We won't set one screen. We just do the 3 man weave and the defense just backs up and jogs around saving energy. I am glad that Colin and Z are now making a move towards the middle to get the defense to collapse a little. That's probably what the plan actually is. I'd like to give Crean more credit than him just telling our guards to lolligag around the perimeter laterally and not even look at the big men. I'm telling you guys. College basketball is turning into big time wrestling. It's is blatantly obvious that the refs change their calls based on creating drama in the game. They were not going to let us put the nail in the coffin with a few mins left. They did what they needed to in order to create drama. It's a business move to keep the sport extremely exciting.
