I can see some ripples like u said but I think Crean caused that himself by constantly over recruiting and moving onto "the next shiny project" There is no reason guys like Remy Abell or Malik Story or Nick Williams shouldn't off had the program built around them. After spending basically 20 years in the gutter, I'd honestly be happy with sweet 16 since we won the big ten. We still seem to be making strides as a program overall. Let's keep winning the big ten. If so, those will be teams that make runs. I dunno, I'm more pleased with taking the big ten at this point. I don't want to get too upset over a sweet 16 loss.. walk, then run. If we get bounced in game one. I'm irate. Crean is an absolute terrible tournament coach. He and his teams almost always crap the bed. U have to take care of business early.. if u dont, u leave the game in the NCAA'S hands over and over. What happens next. Exactly what the refs are trained to do. Create drama. Change play calls, phantom fouls.. always in favor of the team that is down. Basketball is crazy.. Refs ensure there is plenty of drama. Ratings fellas. I'm with you. After watching him with Morgan tonight, him with the team, working in his shortcomings, 2 big ten titles in 4 years, the best conference record since 91, undefeated home season.. I think we need to ride this pony. Honestly, if we hit sweet 16 and go out respectfully to a superior opponent, I'm on Crean's side again. Hanging banners or not, IU basketball is so much better than it has been in 20 years. I'm okay with this. I really just wanted a team to believe in and we have it again. Keep coach. Woooo!! What a game so far!! This team has probably captured the hope and belief of us all at this point! They believe, coach believes and the fan base has gathered around! Yep.. Blackmon is no where near the driver or finisher. Blackmon is literally a rich man's ziesloft in my opinion. More 3s on the move. Same defense. More athletic. He is going to fill it up point wise but I'd honestly run him as a killer 6th man at this point. On the other hand, maybe a season of him sitting and watching will be fruitful for the team next year. Wow, great watch! Man, I really want Crean to succeed. I want him as our coach bad. He softened my stance these last few weeks. We just snagged 2 big ten championships in 4 years. That's a legit program and serious progress since the early 90s guys. If IU is a conference contender, we will make deep tourney runs. Crean is absolutely coach of the year and I can get behind that.
