Helmer Wins Elite 90™ Award for NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Championship Indiana men's soccer redshirt freshman midfielder Quinten Helmer was named the recipient of the Elite 90 award for the 2021 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship. Helmer, an econ consulting major, currently carries a GPA of 3.971. He was presented the award following Thursday morning's training session in Cary, N.C. The Elite 90, an award founded by the NCAA, recognizes the true essence of the student-athlete by honoring the individual who has reached the pinnacle of competition at the national championship level in his or her sport, while also achieving the highest academic standard among his or her peers. The Elite 90 is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average participating at the finals site for each of the NCAA's championships. Helmer is the first Hoosier to earn the prestigious honor since Jack Griffith in 2017. Eligible student-athletes are sophomores or above who have participated in their sport for at least two years with their school. All ties are broken by the number of credits completed.

Well it is a lot of trouble and pretty damn impertinent of you to even ask! Since I started keep track of the AAU stats several years ago, the UAA has always been the bottom of the totem pole. Right now, I'm only aware of 3 with some degree of IU interest and none of the 3 have an offer. Xavier Booker, Jalen Hooks and Jaden Schutt. There are likely others but their names just haven't surfaced. Historically, the EYBL (Nike) is by far the top dog on the AAU shoe circuit with IU targets.
