If you're into moral victories maybe this was one. Rutgers who has outscored their opponents 48-13 this season and with Gerstenberg called up we have Caitlin Arbuckle in the net. Rutgers had 8 SOG and she stopped 6 of them but our offense came up empty and Rutgers takes a 2-0 win. IU Rutgers Shots 6 14 SOG 4 8 Corners 3 2 Fouls 9 3 -

Dr. Ed Hightower Named Big Ten Conference Special Advisor for Basketball Officiating The Big Ten Conference announced that longtime NCAA basketball referee and educator Dr. Ed Hightower has been named Special Advisor for Basketball Officiating, effective immediately. In this role, Hightower will help Big Ten Conference Commissioner Kevin Warren review, assess, and audit the conference’s women’s and men’s basketball officiating programs and provide regular feedback and assessments of those programs to ensure that Big Ten Conference and NCAA officiating standards and expectations are upheld. “Dr. Hightower has distinguished himself as an exceptional basketball official, educator, and leader during his storied career,” said Warren. “This combination of experiences makes him an ideal candidate to work with the Big Ten Conference to continue to enhance our women’s and men’s basketball officiating programs while serving as a mentor to both current and future basketball officials.” Hightower officiated NCAA basketball for 36 years, including 12 Final Four appearances, earning the Naismith Men's College Official of the Year award in 1992. He retired as superintendent of the Edwardsville School district in 2015 following a 19-year tenure leading the district. Hightower received his bachelor’s, master’s, and specialist’s degrees from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and his Doctorate in Education Administration from Saint Louis University. “I am proud to join the Big Ten Conference to work once again with the strongest basketball conference in the nation,” said Hightower. “I look forward to making an impact with the talented group of women’s and men’s basketball officials, student-athletes, coaches and administrators from all across the Big Ten.”

https://247sports.com/college/indiana/LongFormArticle/College-basketball-breakout-candidate-for-each-Big-Ten-team-173513117/#173513117_2 From 247 identifying breakout candidates for each B1G team Khristian Lander was supposed to come into Indiana and play like a 5-star freshman last year. He was supposed to give Indiana's backcourt a much-needed spark and potentially be a contender for Big Ten Freshman of the Year. But those expectations were a little too lofty for a guy who was enrolling early and had to endure a tough COVID-filled season. But a full offseason and a new coaching staff might just be what the doctor ordered for Lander. He's still dripping in talent. I have a hard time believing that last year was an indictment on his talent. He only shot 27 percent from 3-point range and he only made six two-point field goals all season long. Those shooting numbers will go up. He might not have a big role right away, but that's more than fine. Lander can continue to master Mike Woodson's new system and work his way into a bigger role down the stretch. Don't be surprised if he bounces back in a big way in 2021-22.
