  1. Pocket City Fall Basketball League -- Trent Sisley suffered a slight ankle sprain in his first game yesterday. Added an ankle brace and scored 46 in his second game.
  2. Scoreless duel after 110 minutes of soccer and that's it for the day. Statistically we were the more aggressive team but couldn't put it in the net in a game we probably should have won. 2 regular season matches remaining. We host Rutgers next Thursday and travel to PUke next Sunday. IU MD Shots 18 11 SOG 7 2 Corners 10 5 Fouls 5 16 Alaina Kalin picked up a yellow card.
  3. Sandy Spiel's Georgia high school pre-season boy's all-state listings. Kaleb Banks named on the 1st team 4A and a number of other kids that we've offered or taken multiple looks at also appear. https://sandysspiel.com/2021-22-ghsa-boys-preseason-all-state-teams/
  4. Alex Bozich with a Q and A. One thing I caught in this one is Newton commenting that he's younger than most people in his class. https://www.insidethehall.com/2021/10/17/q-a-class-of-2023-guard-jakai-newton-recaps-his-official-visit-to-indiana/?fbclid=IwAR2oAq2DN95-jBb2n2b1P30LA6o4M8qj42vo5eEfnNUjClZ1hS_2VBs126A
  5. Need A Bounce Back Sunday at Maryland. 1:00 start and televised on BTN+ Live Stats SCOUTING THE TERRAPINS Maryland has a 4-7-4 overall record and 0-5-2 mark in Big Ten matches. The Hoosiers are 3-1-3 all-time against Maryland with the last match being played on March 7 and the Hoosiers winning 3-2. KEEPING OPPONENTS OFF THE BOARD The Hoosiers have only allowed five goals in 14 matches this season. Indiana ranks third in the country in goals against average. The Hoosiers have a 23-5 advantage in goals over opponents this season. WEBBER, GERSTENBERG EARN BIG TEN HONORS Paige Webber earned Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week and Jamie Gerstenberg earned Big Ten Freshman of the Week on Sept. 14. Webber got a hat trick against Murray State and added an assist in the Hoosiers win at Kansas State. Gerstenberg has three straight shutouts and six shutouts on the season. GERSTENBERG SHUTING OUT THE COMPETITION Indiana goalkeeper Jamie Gerstenberg ranks third in the NCAA in shutouts with eight this season. Gerstenberg is one away from matching the Hoosiers program record for shutouts in a season.
  6. Post-visit Q and A and if you follow Jakai's mother on Twitter, she's as enthusiastic about their visit as was Noah Clowney's mother. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-recruiting-post-visit-qa-with-2023-top-70-guard-jakai-newton/?fbclid=IwAR331j32umlqpwLwUCImvezOOoQLGVGsT6XJjHPydLInjsuH-pFBe1EiGqk

  8. Mike Schumann @ The Daily Hoosier @daily_hoosier Just had a good talk with 2023 guard Jakai Newton. He had a really good visit at Indiana this weekend, and there is strong interest in IU. More to come with a Q&A

  14. I consider myself proficient in English and in swearing; very rudimentary in Spanish and German and I think I'll be working on Finnish next. No idea how to gauge the level of competition but his team plays in what's called Finland's First Division. On Oct. 8, Little's team won 89-78. Little played 28 min. and scored 26 pts.; 13 reb and 10 asst. He was 10-12 FG; 2-3 on 3s; 4-5 FT; 4 TO ; 1 stl. Today, they were beaten 103-99. Little played 34 min. and scored 27 pts; 7 reb; 6 asst. He was 10-14 FG; 2-5 on 3s; 5-5 FT; 9 TO; 2 stls.

  18. From Trevor Andershock of Indiana Basketball Source. The Indiana 2025 class is shaping up to be fantastic. Although just a freshman, Haralson is oozing with potential. So far, Haralson and Trent Sisley are head and shoulders above the rest of the in-state class. At Indiana Basketball Source’s THE TEST, Haralson measured 6’7” in shoes with a 6’7.5” wingspan and 37” max vertical jump. Additionally, he shows ball-handling and shooting skills like most upperclassmen. He enters high school ready to make a significant varsity impact as a freshman. Video from THE TEST: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OyYnh-RdJ1M His smooth jumper, especially off the dribble, is eye-catching. Of course, the way he finishes above with ease makes him stand out in a crowd, but his shooting and ball-handling make him a clear high-major prospect before playing a high school game. It’s more than four years before Haralson steps onto a collegiate court, but he possesses all the tools to be an outstanding long-term prospect.
  19. On the heels of receiving an offer from Maryland we jumped in with an offer of our own. Haralson attends Fishers HS in Fishers, IN and played AAU for Team Teague. Considering he's just a high school freshman, there's not much out there about him other than a general consensus that he's really good at basketball.
  20. Eight ways Trayce Jackson-Davis might improve under Mike Woodson. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/even-if-the-jump-shot-and-right-hand-dont-surface-here-are-eight-ways-trayce-jackson-davis-might-improve-under-mike-woodson/?fbclid=IwAR1oB-1YXt4YvtvplE2q0LBJeXsreYE746X8ex020pIw9gZu-AH36axOp1g
  21. 3-0 is the final score and the women fall to 3-2-2 in B1G play. They'll be on the road at Maryland next Sunday. IU PSU Shots 7 9 SOG 4 6 Corners 1 2 Fouls 7 5
