  1. Pat Forde: There is smoke from the IARP chimney: Some 132 days after North Carolina State had its infractions hearing, a ruling is set to be released this afternoon. This is the first ruling from the IARP, the infractions "off-ramp" that also has the Kansas, LSU, Louisville, Arizona and Memphis cases in its pipeline. Suffice to say there is huge curiosity in college athletics to see how this goes. Also worth noting: there is no appeal.
  2. In a game yestereday HBA Marsky lost 98-72, Little had 17 pts. on 7-19 FG; 1-5 on 3s; 2-3 FT; 7 reb; 7 asst; 3 stl; 1 blk; 2 TO.
  3. Details on Sisley's game against Crawford Co., last Friday night. 27 pts. on 11-21 FG; 1-2 on 3s; 4-4 FT; 12 reb; 0 asst; 2 stl; 1 blk; 2 TO.
  4. 6 min clip of his first half of the current season.
  5. In the above game, Centerville defeated Flyght Academy (Dayton, OH) 74 - 56. Cupps 12 pts on 3-8 FG; 2-4 on 3s; 4-4 FT; 5 reb; 13 asst; 0 stl; 0 blk; 1 TO. Side note. Flyght Academy was a late replacement as their scheduled opponent had transportation issues and couldn't make it. He's just 4 games into his season but he's averaging 51% FG and 53% on 3s (7-13); 2 reb; 2 stls; 8 asst; 1 TO.
  6. I've already lost track of the number of HS games I've watched this season involving kids with IU offers and many that have been mentioned with IU interest. I'm not qualified to assess their overall basketball abilities but after a game or 2 you can readily see which kids don't really like to mix it up underneath, are hesitant to dive on the floor for a loose ball or just never seem to genuinely run from one end of the court to the other. I'm not a fan of the basketball factories but those kids play hard all the time because they know they'll be on the bench if they don't. Doesn't work at the public school level because the drop off in the level of talent is typically to great and the starter who coasts and goes thru the motions is still likely better than his replacement on the bench.
  7. WMU fought to the very end but we get the 'W' 67 - 57. Holmes: 17 pts; 19 reb A career high in rebounds. Berger: 16 pts; 6 reb Patberg: 13 pts; 6 asst Cardano-Hillary: 8 pts Browne: 9 pts; 10 reb Just 39% FG and a miserable 2-16 on 3s. Tuesday night we host Wright State at 7:00 and Southern Illinois at 1:00 Thursday afternoon.
  8. 5 min. left in the game and WMU won't quit trailing 63-46. Gulbe an usually quiet afternoon and our 3-point shooting has been atrocious just 2-12. WMU is 7-23 and that's what's kept the game as close as it is.
  9. A dominant 3rd Q and we lead 55-38 going into the 4th. Holmes 14 pts; 16 reb. Berger 16 pts. Browne needs 2 pts and 1 reb. for a double double.
  10. Midpoint of the 3rd and it's a 46-27 IU lead as WMU has yet to score in the quarter.
  11. We've upped the lead to 13 just 2 minutes into the 3rd Q starting off with a 7-0 run. Holmes has a double-double.
  12. Missing their leading scorer and we're letting WMU hang around much too long. Maybe the shot clock delay upset our bio-rhythms. At the half we hold on to a 33 - 27 lead. Holmes: 8 pts; 9 reb Browne: 6 pts; 7 reb Berger: 6 pts; 3 reb Cardano-Hillary: 5 pts. Patberg: 4 pts; 6 assts
  13. 25-21 at the midpoint of the 2nd Q. Holmes already with 9 reb.
  14. End of 1 and we have a 19-14 lead. Kiandra Browne off the bench with 6 pts. and 4 reb. in 5 min. of play. Cardano-Hillary has 5 pts.
  15. WMU player tried to check into the game; took off her warm-up and wasn't wearing a team jersey just an undershirt!
  16. Damn senior moment. Thanks for pointing it out.
  17. 1:24 just posted as the estimated tipoff. Hopefully once the clocks start working they'll stay working. Also reported that WMU's leading scorer at 21 ppg is in street clothes today.
  18. Summary of the game by lineups. https://indianahq.com/indiana-vs-notre-dame-by-the-lineups/
  19. There will be a delay in the start of the game. The shot clocks are not working!
  20. Cathedral beaten by Indpls. Tech 80 - 73. Izzo reportedly at the game to watch Booker who battled foul trouble and did not score.
